    Now I understand!
I’ve learned so much from this book. First off, there is a glossary at the back of the book that helps define special terms or words that might be harder to understand, and there is an important note at the front of the book urging readers not to go past a word they do not fully understand. It’s such common sense I don’t know why everyone doesn’t think to do that with everything they read. My key takeaway from this book is that now I understand how my mind works, and how the minds of others work. So, whenver I encounter a situation that I don’t understand, I know there is an irrationality from the reactive mind that needs to be eliminated from the situation. It doesn’t mean I understand the irrationality, it means I can comprehend what is going on and not feel disgruntled, confused, introverted or depressed. I can see it for what it is- the reactive mind – and that’s pretty cool. I have tried the Dianetics therapy and it’s given me awesome results. I have hope for the therapy in this book making people Clear, I think this world would be a much better place if there were no reactive minds.

    Dianetics, very interesting and informative.
This was a very interesting read and seems pretty legit. It certainly answered a lot of questions I had about Dianetics, and what Dianetics can do. I found the part about how the reactive mind works to be very informative and rings very true to me. If your interested in the mind and how it works I would highly recommend.

A new and transformative view of the human mind
This book is quite the read and I found it to be a new way to look at mental health. I’ve never been a big proponent of western medicine and a friend told me about this book. Reading it took me some time but, once I had I found myself with a different outlook on some problems I had been having in life. Whether it was problems working with others or what, it gave me a new outlook which helped me to see things from a wider point of view. Definitely would recommend it to others!

    Don’t waste your time
I picked this up because a friend mentioned it, and I really regret wasting my time. The book is filled with made-up terms, long-winded explanations, and zero scientific backing. It claims to help you get rid of all your emotional pain, but never actually explains how in a way that makes any real sense. It just repeats the same ideas over and over using weird language like “engrams” and “auditing” like we’re supposed to accept it without question. It also takes every chance to bash actual science and therapy while offering nothing useful in return. The tone is arrogant and preachy, like Hubbard is trying to start a movement instead of actually helping anyone. Honestly, it felt more like propaganda than self-help.If you’re genuinely looking for something to help with mental health or personal growth, I’d recommend almost anything else. This was a waste of time and money.

    drama made me read it
I read this book and found it to be very interesting. I had struggled with MAJOR depression, anxiety, a boatload of thoughts swarming my mind telling me the most vile things – it was disgusting and I couldn’t imagine that being normal. I had tried talking with my school counselor, then I tried some therapy, then I tried to take a bunch of supplements, I changed my diet – nothing was answering the questions that I had and nothing was repairing the issue. It was like massive leaks being repaired with scotch tape – it isn’t effective. When I read the book, I started feeling like I was reading something that was never heard of before, another angle to talking about mental health. The reactive mind… yes, that must’ve been the thing that was driving me crazy with all of the thoughts in my head running all day and night. Then the discovery of the engrams and that these things basically get triggered in everyday life and they are stored in the reactive mind. The system that this guy put together to get rid of the reactive mind which stores those engrams… fascinating.I couldn’t help myself, especially after hearing the drama about the book, and I went to the site on the book and scheduled myself for a free introductory session, I participated in the therapy and I have made it to the goal mentioned in the book, “The Clear”. I would recommend you reading it, just take a look – reading a book hasn’t hurt anyone.

Dianetics Removes all of someone’s pain from their entire lifetime.Provides a perspective on Life unlike any other.Dianetics is a method of erasing all the pain out of a persons lifetime. You can understand that if a person didn’t have any pain in his lifetime, he’d be a fairly happy person wouldn’t he? Well in Dianetics you just erase all the pain out of his lifetime and he’s well.I think of it in simple terms: you can convert the pain of a lifetime to happiness and sanity.A Validated method of increasing sanity and intelligence quotient.Dianetics has increased my entire perspective on Life, why people are stupid and why people have so many severe mental illnesses. I’ve seen engrams of my father being dramatized, realized why my sister is constantly sick and why she screams. I’ve found a solution to increase my intelligence, knowingness (what I called wisdom) and a new technology which I can apply to help others to become smarter, more rational and healthy. I could go on and on about all the discoveries I’ve gained through Dianetics. Dianetics has helped bring awareness to my surroundings. I also look better at work because I’m more in action instead of in apathy (like some coworkers), so it got me promoted (I got promoted 7 times in 4 months). It helped me to understand people I didn’t understand (I used to think they are just stupid). It gave me the reasons why I was acting irrational in certain situations, because I understand where these irrationalities are coming from. Instead of just letting these irrationalities surface, knowing about their solutions taught me to control my reactions and use what I’ve learned.I finally found a Proven solution where I can make a difference in my life and I want to start using it more in my life to further improve things and improve the people around me.A proven technology not requiring Faith, unlike unproven psychology and psychiatry.Being a devout Christian, Dianetics re-affirmed the New Testament and shows why ideologies like Islam and communism cause their people to apostasy, running and clawing out of the depression of a totalitarian system built on violence and media deception to their citizens, how it fails by the death of people under it. Terror and Deception by a government only creates death. Dianetics may not mention any ideologies specifically, but through the “science of mind”, explains the inner workings and reasons why people do what they do and what causes an individual to do so.
