Very easy to use
This book is very easy to use (no planning or prepping needed). It’s 30 weeks of spelling with each week having 4 work pages (M-T if you’re school days are traditional) based on the weekly spelling words (15 spelling words per week with the option of adding 2 bonus words). I make my daughter flash cards with her words for the week and on our 5th day of school (which has no work page) we do a spelling test. I log the words that she has mastered (on a simple form I created to track her spelling progress), and I log the words (if any) that she’s still struggling with (we continue to review the flashcards for the “struggling” words for a future test that I give her). I highly recommend this book as an addition to your Homeschool curriculum (tip/hint: if you have multiple children at different ages/grades and you don’t mind printing, you could always copy the pages for future use with your next kiddo in line)

Great for homeschooling
Happy I made the choice to use this in our homeschool for 3rd grade. Just one activity a day is enough and the activities are different so my child doesn’t get bored of it. This is just what we needed.

Excellent
Love this workbook for my child. He needs to keep practicing his spelling and this makes it fun and easy and not overwhelming. It has 30 weeks of lessons, but you can do it in half the time or use as a supplemental for school.

Good Content
We’ve been using this book for a few months. I like the content, I think they chose the words well and the activities that go with the words each week. I do not like that the pages are back to back. I have copied the pages I wanted my daughter to use rather than pulling them out of the book. For example: week 2 spelling list is on the back page of a week 1 activity

Spelling Accomplished Again~
Once again, I LOVE Evan-Moor products regardless, but this specific Spelling book is a wonderful resource that serves to aide my teaching instruction in the areas of language arts.I purchased this book and the fourth grade book as a means to supplement for my spelling program in place in my elementary classroom. The book is full of quick lessons and provides one list of words for each week. Each list of words used are related to one another grammatically speaking. From crosswords, to syllables, to antonyms and synonyms, this book keeps the students entertained and engaged while learning spelling.A great find to use for AM/Morning/Bell work in the classroom and a wonderful resource tool to have in the classroom to supplement your students’ education.

Very Pleased with Building Spelling Skills
I was using Spelling Workout with my daughter and she dreaded it. I decided to chance it with Building Spelling Skills and she loves it! The lessons are not long and are varied. After completing the daily lessons, she does not even have to study for the tests and aces them. I really like that each week there is a 2 sentence dictation exercise using spelling words. Each weeks lesson is structured with visual memory, word meaning, auditory (dictation), and word study. Lessons activities are varied and just the right length. There are crossword puzzles, fill in the blank, word scrambles, word searches, etc. to make learning more fun. I really like the book, too!

Great book
My daughter loves using this for her spelling. The variety of activities helps her to remember the words. Much better than just writing a list of words over and over.

This is an awesome book. My daughter actually said “ yay spelling” when it was time for homeschooling one day. There is a good opening exercise to each week to gauge how hard you will have to work on the assigned words and then an exercise for each day until test day. I do supplement with my own lesson and practice but this book is a great foundation for grade 3 spelling. I highly recommend.
