    It’s a USB cable
It’s a USB cable. It’s universal – they are everywhere, but you never have enough of them and they are never long enough. It’s serial – not like Cheerios, you monster. And it’s a bus, but you don’t need a ticket and it won’t actually get you to work.I bought four of these, 6’ works well for most of my needs – there aren’t enough electrical outlets near the couch.

Having speed and power ratings on cable ends is my favorite feature
Only had this cable for less than a month, but it has become a favorite. By glancing at either cable end, I can easily tell if this is the cable for max charging and good data speeds. My prior cables lacked markings (or had them so tiny they couldn’t be read), so I didn’t know if I was picking up a charging only cable, one that barely supported power and data, or one that could do 100W and data. The markings on this cable are large, clear, and easy to read. The cable wrap that comes with this cable is not the usual Velcro wrap that gets stuck to other things. It is not hook and loop at all, but a rubber strap. I’m liking it.I wanted to give this cable 5 stars but eventually decided the slower 480M speed (USB 2.0) did not live up to the USB-PD 3.1 240W support of the cable.

A Seriously Tough, Versatile USB-C Cable that Survived My Kitchen Crew
After just a week of use, the NOCO XGrid XC2 240W USB-C cable has surpassed the functionality and lifespans of most of my former USB-C cables, demonstrating superior quality and value. The sturdy, braided cable is flexible, coils easily, and has a versatile length of 6.5 feet (2M). An attached silicone strap is included for storage or shortening the cable to your needs. The connectors fit snugly into devices and the cable delivers on all its promised capabilities, from lightning-speed data transfer (480Mbps) to fast charging and powering high-drain devices. The manufacturer doesn’t specify whether the connectors are functionally gold plated or just aesthetically colored gold metal, but one might expect a cable of this quality to display a little drip.To unlock the full power potential of this cable (240W), you must pair it with an equally powerful USB-C wall adapter. A standard adapter that can fast charge your phone won’t necessarily supply enough power via the cable for your laptop or other high-drain devices, so be sure your power source matches the cable’s capabilities.Function:I first took this into work (commercial kitchen) for a week as a charging cable for my daily-use devices: Android phone, laptop, and vaporizers. The phone immediately displayed “Rapidly Charging” and my high-drain vaporizer went into battery-bypass mode to run directly off the power supplied by the cable. This only occurs when the correct “digital handshake” occurs between the cable’s integrated chip and the devices, also preventing overheating of the cable or devices. My laptop continues to increase its charge while plugged in and in use, functioning exactly as when powered by its OEM charger. Furthermore, at least 6 other employees coveted and used this to charge their phones and vaporizers on a daily basis throughout the week, receiving harsh admonishment from me for using “MY SPECIAL CABLE!” I brought it home and used it to transfer video files from my Android phone to my PC and was really impressed with the transfer speed. It was nice to watch files transfer instantly, a surprising change from the frustratingly slow progress bars of my previous data cables.Verdict:This cable can withstand rigorous use by multiple hands for diverse devices. Its durability after just one week suggests a longevity that has already far exceeded many cables I’ve owned. It fulfills all of its advertised promises and its versatility and length have made it my go-to cable. You could buy lots of cheap cables that burn out quickly, or you could purchase this one that fulfills all your needs and will last. This is great value for demonstrated quality. I just need to figure out how to hide it from my co-workers.Pros: Exceptional quality, good value, high power, versatile function and lengthCons: A standard phone charger adapter is not powerful enough to unlock its full potential for high-drain devices

Fast, durable, and finally a cable that matches my chargers
I picked this up because I was tired of using random cheap USB C cables that never seemed to charge at full speed. This one feels like a big step up the moment you take it out of the package. The build quality is great and it has a softer flexible jacket that doesn’t fight you or knot up. I haven’t timed charging speeds down to the second, but it definitely feels quicker with my high watt chargers compared to what I was using before.Functionally it has been perfect. The connection feels secure, it doesn’t wiggle loose, and the cable doesn’t get warm like some of the lesser ones I’ve tried. For the price it feels like a smart upgrade, especially if you’re tired of guessing whether your cable is slowing everything down.

    Well made
This Noco USB-C cable looks well made like most Noco products. It charges my iPhone and iPad at their maximum wattage with ease. I’m quite happy with it so far. Time will tell how durable it is.

Fastest charger I have with its own cord wrap to keep it tidy
What a fantastic charging cable! So far, I’ve never had any cable that charges faster than this, which is the biggest and best compliment I can give to it, but it’s also a long cord with plenty of length for relaxed charging, it’s made of durable material that’ll last a long time undamaged, and even has its own personal cord storage wrap that’s attached but unattachable so if you don’t like it you can remove it but if you DO like it, it’s always at hand for keeping your cord tidy. It’s a great cord that’s clearly made with intelligent thought and functionality in mind, and at the end of the day, it’s worth the price. I’ll be coming back to this brand again, and I would definitely recommend it.

I compared this cable right away with two more USB-C to USB-C cables on a Samsung (allegedly) factory genuine charger:1. Cable 1, unknown origin, a low-cost cable that came in a package as a favor/facilitation – Samsung S24 charge time – 31 minutes;2. Cable 2, 100 watts label, came with a Portable Power Station, 28,000mAh Solar Power Bank, LiFePO4 Battery Backup with 100W (Surge 200W) AC Outlet DC & PD Fast Charging, … for … Home, Camping – Samsung S24 charge time – 31 minutes;3. This cable, 240 watts label – Samsung S24 charge time – 31 minutes.I did not cut through the cable to determine the thickness of the individual strands, melt sufficient lengths to determine copper or other metals content percentages, and the thickness of the plastic material surrounding and in-between the strands.I am left with determining its passage of current via a proxy indicator of time taken to charge from the same power source to the same power recipient. The second indicator I have is borrowed from fuel lines. Fuel leakage is one of the major scare factors for us in small engines. To ensure that the integrity of a line is not interrupted, among the so many measures we use, is a mesh tubing around the fuel pipe. This mesh (fabric, plastic, or metal) protects against many things that could cause fuel leakage.Data cables are not very different from fuel lines in many ways.A data or charging cable gets destroyed at two points – the end connectors or the smallest weakening or actual breakage of the metal strands inside any one or more of the multiple core wires, most often from repeat bending, sometimes from pulling or being pulled, or by a sharp weight placed on the cable.Regarding connectors, if an end is not physically damaged, I have been able to recover most USB cable connectors by cleaning. Sometimes lint is there, sometimes other unknown stuff, especially in phone connectors. Also, in small engines, we have many solid but mostly multi-stranded (sometime a single solid) control wires that are carried within flexible caging, the Bowden cable (invented in year 1896). Is it possible to carry an electric or data cable in a Bowden cable? Yes, possible, but that would increase the weight of the cable and also the flexibility. What is the outcome of this long discussion? No data cable without a metal or really thick almost inflexible plastic or metal cage can survive forever. The best we can have is a cable that has thick metal cable strands inside, and as thick as possible flexible protective “cage” of soft-hard plastic coating. The interwoven fabric cage used on this cable is also very similar to the ones we have on fuel pipes that need protection for whatever reason. The fabric is a limiter in bending thus kinking thus immediate risk of failure of continuity in a metal strand. As long as we understand and respect all the limitations above, we can expect this, or a wire with similar specs, to keep on performing well for a long time. The more we move it, bend it, push or pull it, the shorter will be the expected life of this cable.Lastly, the fuel pipe ends and the data cable ends. Fuel pipes most often leak at pipe ends from the extra pressure of fuel clips that hold the rubber/synthetic rubber/mix fuel pipes tightly against a hollow barbed pipe. The engine is always shaking the pipe, about 3000-3500 times per minute in a small engine. The pipe is held tightly to the metal barb. I think you can guess where the cracks happen in the fuel pipe? In a data cable, the constant pulling in and out of connectors will eventually leave an uneven surface of metal to metal contact, or if any gold plating is there, that nano thickness coating will eventually wear off. Then, we will have bare metal to bare metal, or bare metal to nano gold contact.

Right out of the box, this cable makes an impression—literally and figuratively. For what is essentially a USB‑C cable, the level of detail and care in its packaging is surprising, and actually quite satisfying.First Impressions:The unboxing experience is akin to opening a high-end smartphone accessory. It arrives in a robust outer corrugated box, followed by a sleek inner carton sealed with a peel-away security tab. Inside, the cable is nestled in a molded paper tray, neatly coiled with a high-quality silicone cable tie threaded through a dedicated notch for easy extraction. Also included are:• A multilingual Safety & Warranty Information booklet (hefty due to wide language coverage)• A NOCO XGRID product showcase bookletIt immediately feels like a premium product, even before testing it.Pros:• Durable Construction: The braided sheath offers excellent protection and durability. The cable feels sturdy and ready for heavy-duty use.• High Power Delivery: Clearly marked on the connector (alongside 480 Mbps data speed), it’s certified to handle even power-hungry devices.• Tangle-resistant: The braided design resists tangling better than standard rubber or plastic-coated cables.• Premium Cable Tie: The attached silicone tie is a small but thoughtful detail for keeping things neat—whether in storage or when mounted to a surface or frame.• Unboxing Experience: Genuinely impressive for a cable. Everything is well laid out, secure, and intuitively packaged.Cons:• Limited Data Speed: While 480 Mbps is sufficient for peripherals and charging, this is USB 2.0 territory. It would’ve been great to have USB 3.x or higher for full-speed file transfers.• Packaging Overkill?: While beautiful, the multi-layer packaging might feel a bit excessive for eco-conscious buyers.Final Thoughts:This is more than just a cable — it’s a statement. If you value quality, thoughtful design, and a touch of luxury in your tech accessories, this cable delivers. While not a speed demon for data transfer, it excels in power delivery, construction, and user experience. I’d confidently recommend it to anyone needing a reliable high‑wattage USB‑C cable — especially for laptops or high-output charging bricks.Five stars for build, design, and performance at the right price.

I recently purchased and open box Galaxy S24 Ultra. I really like it and want to take the best care I can for its battery life. My last phone was a Galaxy S21 Ultra, and I depleted the battery by using any old USB C-C cable I had with a high wattage power block (65W or more). I wanted it to charge quickly, but I was naïve about the “damage” I was doing to the battery. It ended up draining quickly and needing frequent charging and I felt I always had to carry a battery pack with me when I went out for the day in case the phone battery got too low from frequent usage. The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra comes with a USB-C to USB-C cable in the box—but it’s a bit basic, only supporting fast charging up to 25W. It supports USB Power Delivery (PD) and PPS, which is essential for Samsung’s Super Fast Charging, but it’s typically rated for 3A current, not the full 5A needed for 45W Super Fast Charging 2.0.The NOCO XGrid XC2 meets these requirements, although its specs don’t list that it supports PPS. I wanted a quality cable, but had to test it out for PPS. In the end, it does support PD 3.1 and PPS. It’s also quality in that it contains an E-Marker chip that ensures safe operation, preventing overheating or damage when using powerful chargers. I use it with a Toocki 140W GaN 5-Port Charger on port USB-C2 that has a max output of 45W, which is perfect for phones like Galaxy S24 Ultra. I also charge it between 20% and 80%; this is considered the sweet spot for long-term battery health. The final verdict is that this is the perfect cable for my charging application. I will also use it for high speed data transfer between external hard drives and transferring MP3s to my portable MP3 player. It’s also braided so it will withstand multiple twists and bends, and comes with a sturdy rubber cable tie, as opposed to a Velcro tie wrap.

When it comes to fast USB-C charging, these are it. I admittedly do not own any device that draws up to 240W but my 100W devices are well fed with these. The build quality is excellent though sometimes I do find it maybe overkill–the hexagonal shape of the casing is definitely going to be slightly thicker than many and may not work well with cellphone or tablet cases for instance. As for the cable, for a 240W cable it’s fairly thin and malleable, but if you don’t need 240W of power, you might find these slightly thick and a bit on the stiffer side. That said, comparing this to say a 240W charging TB compatible cable, these are WAY more manageable. The main drawback on this cable is the fact that the data rates are USB2.0 speeds; given that NOCO produces products that are certified, it would have been nice if it were Thunderbolt certified as well. As previously mentioned, TB cables are usually notoriously stiff and thick but I think that NOCO might be able to make this stand out in a good way. But given that NOCO is more of a charging device brand, I suppose this makes sense that it’s a charging product first and foremost. Considering the certifications, it is actually pretty well priced too, which makes this a great recommendation when you need something reliable for faster charging speeds. Just remember to pair it with a charger that can handle the power output you need.
