We compared this 4K Apple TV product directly with a recently purchased MeCool android TV box. For the most part the TV presentations were quite similar, but the Apple product was vastly more responsive (no lag at all). The Apple device was twice as expensive but the responsiveness was worth the difference.

Apple makes everything easy
Apple TV to save the day every time. I have an Apple TV for all my TVs. Easy login and sync with all apps used on all TVs. This is most important when you have a smart TV that doesn’t support you “cable” provider (I.e. LG doesn’t support Spectrum app, so just use Apple TV).
