Absolutely Outstanding Book Scanner — Exceeded All Expectations
The CZUR ET MAX has been a game-changer for my workflow. The 38MP camera captures incredibly sharp images, and the flattening technology works beautifully even with thick books. Scanning is fast, accurate, and consistent, saving me hours compared to traditional flatbed scanners.The software is intuitive, the OCR is surprisingly precise, and the device handles everything from books to loose documents effortlessly. Build quality feels premium, and setup was simple.One small area for improvement: out of five notebooks I scanned, a couple of pages came out slightly tilted. It’s not a major issue, and I’m confident this can be addressed in future software updates. Everything else works flawlessly.Overall, the ET MAX is a professional-grade tool with outstanding value. If you work with books, archives, or documents regularly, this scanner is absolutely worth it. Highly recommended.

Easy to use
Easy to setup and just as easy to use. Sometimes it’s a pain to keep your hands out of the scans but the software gives you the capability to rescan which is nice. I have been scanning my at home book collection to be able to put on my kindle. This device has been a God send for me to be able to do this.

NOT a professional scanner and NOT worth the money!
This scanner is NOT “professional”! Its lighting color balance is SO HORRIBLE that it is difficult – if not impossible – to color correct, even using an advanced tool like Adobe Lightroom. I wrote CZUR customer support two weeks ago and never heard a response! This could be corrected if they utilized a “true white” light bulb. To my amazon.com Q&A, the US distributor responded that a CZUR studio box was necessary to ensure proper colors — he was wrong, I scanned in total darkness and it still had the problem.It also has a problem with improper parallax – a perfectly square image will have a side at an angle. This problem deals with improper optics – it needs a lens that produces a flat image: square original = square image.The lack of a v-shaped cradle to help deal with inward curvature on the inner gutter part of the book. The laser-guided software correction is imperfect and it is better to start with an image with at least physically correcting as much as possible with curvature. ALL OTHER professional scanners have this feature!The CZUR Assistive Cover 13.14-inch with Adjustable Hook&Loop Splash Resistant is a cheap and inadequate solution to this problem and is ineffective in reaching the objective of having physical correction of the inner gutter. I deal with scanning antiquarian books and the way it forces flattening is damaging to the book’s spine.It is worth the extra money to purchase the Joyusing V180 Professional Book Scanner, which amazon does not carry, but it should. It corrects all the problems I identified; although the color is not perfect, it is close enough to be easily color corrected with editing software.Do NOT waste your money on the CZUR M3000 PRO Professional Book Scanner (A3 Size Scanner) — it is not worth the over three times that you will spend on it as opposed to the ET MAX. In amazon Q&A, I asked the difference and the US distributor mentioned the v-shaped cradle, great, I said that that is necessary. He added about the increased MP of the image, pixel dimensions and DPI (dots per inch) — I pointed out that these are NOT three features, but different ways of expressing one feature. Yes, it has OCR by ABBYY Fine Reader in the software, which should lead to more accurate OCR. All of these combined do not justify the outrageous price difference!!! Perhaps there are other features, but the US distributor was not aware, not properly trained, in product knowledge; also, they should be listed in the product features listed in the amazon product feature listing.Yes, my needs are professional, I scan books and images for publication in books. However, all of these features are important and are of value to amateur users or hobbyists. I’d hate to see the images that CZUR’s lower price scanners produce!!!

La confezione è molto curata in ogni dettaglio. All’interno troviamo lo scanner verticale, il tappetino nero per le scansioni, il cavo USB, un pedale per lo scatto/scansione, due tendipagina per la scansione dei libri (da utilizzare con il pedale), il manuale con software (consiglio di installare l’ultima versione scaricabile dal sito CZUR).I materiali costruttivi sono di qualità e questo si vede immediatamente.L’altezza dello scanner è regolabile a due altezza: per fogli A4 e per fogli A3 o libri ed il dispositivo può essere utilizzato anche come presentatore visuale (per chi ne fa ancora uso).Il software è molto completo ma al tempo stesso user friendly (decisamente meglio di altri scanner che utilizzo). Lev impostazioni iniziali richiedono il loro tempo dato che si hanno con una serie di opzioni sia per l’aquisizione dell’imagine, che l’esportazione della stessa. (per alcune lingue è necessario scaricare la versione specifica del software per poter utilizzare l’OCR).Trattandosi di una camera da 24MP, l’aquisizione dell’immagine è immediata (beh, il tempo necessario per lo scatto di una fotografia).lo scanner è dotato di un LED dimmerabile posto vicino alla camera e completamente dimmerabile sia per garantire la corretta illuminazione in ogni scansione, sia quando il dispositivo viene utilizzato come presentatore.A tal proposito, ho provato ad effettuare la scansione di superfici lucide (pagine di manuali GDR) e confermo che, come da descrizione, non è adatto a questo tipo di superficie. Anche al minimo l’illuminazione integrata crea un riflesso sulla scansione, ed anche utilizzando le opzione di correzione dell’immagine del software è impossibile rimuoverlo. Principalmente ho ordinato questo dispositivo per poter digitalizzare vecchi libri che utilizzavo all’università e che purtroppo non esistono in altro formato, ma in generale è otimo per tutto quello che non si riesce a scanzionare attraverso gli scanner tradizionali (vetro o ADR) o che hanno dimensioni che non lo permettono.Da notare che per l’installazione del software è necessario inserire il seriale del dispositivo.Il prezzo è ottimo considerandone la qualità e la versatilità.

Scanner OCR e non solo, con un design sobrio ed elegante in un corpo robusto, ben strutturato e perfettamente allineato per ottenere una tipologia di cattura immagine semplificata, senza trascurare l’estrema comodità nel farlo, se paragonato ai classici scanner piani ormai inglobati nelle più comuni stampanti.Viene fornito con un tappetino nero che funge da perfetto sfondo con cui creare il giusto contrasto con le pagine e gli oggetti da catturare ed un pedale che aiuta ad effettuare gli scatti mediante software incluso da installare su pc molto intuitivo, completo e ricco di funzioni come filtri, annotazioni, metodi di cattura, adattabilità delle pagine tra ritagli e regolazioni da fare sia in tempo reale che in post, salvataggio multi-formato e tanto, tanto altro ancora.Sensore da 24MP che in termini di risoluzione e nitidezza di immagini non delude affatto e che oltretutto, ci permette sia di scansionare, che di registrare video con audio catturato dal microfono integrato, nella modalità presentazione.Dotato di un doppio faretto led, regolabile in intensità mediante manopola, per adattare la luce a seconda della lucentezza delle pagine o della superficie riflettente degli oggetti e copertine.Ovviamente, la scelta sull’accensione o meno della luce spetta a noi a seconda delle circostanze.In definitiva, considerando la moltitudine di operazioni che si possono effettuare mediante software e la resa finale, trovo che il rapporto qualità-prezzo sia piuttosto equo e ragionevole.
