Great pictures, story was ok
Love the pics- the story was a little hard for the 3 year olds to follow. But they loved the pics- so we mostly just made up our own story. Pics held their attention. Maybe next year the story will make more sense to them. Still recommend

A Great Holiday Addition to the “How to Catch a … “ Book Series
My six-year-old granddaughter loves the “How to Catch a … “ book series, so when I came across several holiday titles this year, I couldn’t resist purchasing them for our library. Consistent with previous books that we have purchased, “How to Catch an Elf” follows along on a fun adventure to trap Santa’s helper, only to be outsmarted each time by his elfin ways! The illustrations are bright and colorful, and will easily capture a child’s imagination. And the story — told in a familiar rhyming pattern — is printed in an easy-to-read font that even early readers will be able to follow along without difficulty. I also appreciate the multicultural representation in each of the books in this series. These are well-made hardback storybooks that can last many years, if cared for properly. A great value for any child’s library!

My kids love the entire collection “How to catch…”!
We have dozens of books “How to Catch…,” and both of my daughters (ages 7 and 3) love them all! The illustrations are bright and cute, and the stories are simple yet captivating. The covers are also delightful to touch, feeling velvety and matte.

Seriously a bestseller? No plot just pictures to sell the book. The Snow Alien Complete Series is far better but nowhere near the scam Amazon charts

Ignoring the lack of story line and the dreadful attempts at rhyme, there is simply too much violence for a book for small children and certainly not at Christmas. We want feel good stuff at this time of year. I hadn’t realised that it was an Americanised text so British children won’t know what a touche is etc. I was looking for cheap children’s books to give out at a party. So desperately let down by this that it went straight in the charity bag to donate but was worried about even doing that as I feel it’s inappropriate.

Book came as described. I wish it was packed better as it was bumping around in the box…but that’s on Amazon. Any book by this author is really good!
