Extremely small, flawless connectivity & exceptional customer service – 5 STARS!
This is my 2nd Carplay adapter from this seller (MSXTTLY). I use them on my 2023 Harley Davidson for full wireless Carplay connectivity. The 1st adapter I had was the previous generation and after 6 months of flawless functionality, it began to have connectivity issues and would reboot on it’s own. I reached out to the seller and in less than 24 hours had a response from them offering a free replacement. The replacement adapter (which was this newest version that offers both Carplay and Android Auto on the same adapter) arrived overnight (based on my location in the Phoenix area) and connected right away to my motorcycle. Once connected and paired to your phone, the device boots and displays Carplay on your vehicles radio in about 10 seconds. It’s smooth, no audio delays and seamlessly works as though it was built into the vehicles factory radio. This new adapter is also extremely small. It measures about 1 inch long (once plugged into the USB-A port). It also comes with a USB-A (standard) to USB-C adapter to accommodate either connection type. Based on the ease of connectivity, seamless Carplay integration & exceptional customer service, this product is an easy 5-stars for me. Hope this review helps.

Instant connection
Works good! Had for several months. I occasionally have to reboot my infotainment system because it cannot connect with this adapter. Not sure if that is my car or this adapter, but it did not happen when I was connected wired. I love how it connects as soon as I unlock the car so when I get in the car, it’s already ready to go.

Hands Free CarPlay & Android Auto
I’ve been using Android Auto since I bought my car in 2017, and I love it. The only problem I had is I’ve had to use a USB to USB-C cable to connect my phone to the car’s Android Auto features. At first it was a hassle to find just the right cable so it wasn’t too long. Now, because I’ve been plugging and unplugging the phone to that cable a couple of things happened: first, the connection would momentarily break sometimes. That was annoying. Then lately, the connector on my phone had become a little flakey. Also, although my car also has a wireless charging pad, I couldn’t use it while plugged into the USB port.Now with the MSXTTLY U2AC-01 CarPlay & Android Auto dongle, I can put my phone on the charging pad and I connect to Android Auto automatically. Setup was very easy. I also use a wireless charging pad at home, so now I don’t need to use my phone’s connector in most cases. Although my adapter model supports Android Auto and CarPlay, my wife and I only use Android phones.For this reason, to write a more complete review, I asked another family member (living locally) to use the dongle for a couple of weeks to get their feedback. She and her husband both use Apple phones, and they both tested the connectivity and function for two weeks.Here’s what they found:1. Setup was very easy2. When both of them were in the car together, it was a bit clumsy to disable one phone’s connection so the other phone could connect. Turning off Bluetooth wasn’t an option since they both have Apple watches, so they would have to go in and disconnect from this specific device. My wife prefers to use a cable for this in her own car, so for us it isn’t an issue.3. When one of them was the only one in the auto, they noticed it took longer to connect the auto to their phone than using the USB cable (less than 10 seconds). As for me, I find the connection time to be anywhere from 1 to 7 seconds depending on how long it’s been since I last had it connected.I hope you found this useful.

Don’t Buy
This never did work in a 2019 EV. Two exchanges with their support staff gave me information, but none of it helped…. My own surfing of the web didn’t find anything that worked.Getting this connected to the web for updates, to your car, to the Wi-Fi system, to the Bluetooth, to your telephone …..it was just unbelievably complicated and it never did work

This is the third product I’ve bought from MSXTTLY, so I’ve seen their progression firsthand. Each version of their wireless CarPlay adapter has improved, but this one shows the biggest jump in quality so far.The first thing that stood out was the size. It’s noticeably smaller and more streamlined than the previous model I owned, which makes it easy to hide away without adding clutter. Once I plugged it in, the startup time was quicker than anything I’ve used before. CarPlay loads almost immediately, which already sets it apart from other adapters I’ve tried.In everyday use, it’s been solid. There’s no audio delay at all, whether I’m playing music or taking calls. Everything responds instantly and feels as smooth as a wired connection.I did run into a connection issue during the first setup, but their customer service team handled it better than I expected. They replied quickly, knew exactly what the problem was, and walked me through a simple update. It took a few minutes and the adapter has been perfect ever since. It’s rare to get support that’s actually helpful, and they deserve credit for that.After using it consistently, I can say it’s an excellent product backed by a company that keeps improving and stands behind what they sell. I fully recommend both the adapter and the brand.

Definitely gets rid of the wire.
The initial setup took a little longer than I’d like but once u connect to it it is absolutely seamless. Make sure your phone is unlocked through the initial setup and it’s a go.Also I noticed that my on screen experience is smoother. A higher framerate to be exact.100% worth it and it frees up my phones port for fast charging.

This was a little bit difficult to connect as the instructions were a bit difficult to follow but I managed to connect it myself manually and eventually it works as expected. It does take a while to boot up but that’s a very small price to pay for getting rid of cables. My Nissan Navara is now wireless and makes everything easy.I did try it out on my work van, an Isuzu, but did not have the same success. Maybe it’s not compatible with that van’s EOM stereo or the technology. Oh well, it stays in my daily driver then 🙂

Really cool bit of tech, my phone knows what to do and the car knows what to do so it really bridges that connection well and more smoothly than via the original Bluetooth connection directly between car and phone. The size is great, it fits well tucked in to the recessed USB port in the console. Without a cable it sits nice and firmly in place. The small size and shape means it’s fairly safe sitting in there even if stuff presess against it, like it shouldn’t ever get pushed sideways and risk damage because of where it’s positioned. Happy with it so far, it works and doesn’t effectively take up any extra space. It was a good choice to test this out, will continue using it too.
