LOOK UP A VIDEO.As for the product? It worked perfectly. The entire process took me about 30 minutes with some minor help (keeping track of screws) and I’ve had no issues with stick drift since. These served their purpose and I’ve not had any issues after the repair. Highly recommended. (I used with quest 2).Take your time, do it right, find a guide, and these will fix your issues.

Good product with some hiccups
So the Philips screwdriver isn’t small enough to remove some of the screws. (Luckily, I had my own tool set).Other than that, everything is working perfectly. No stick drift, no nothing.Some people are arguing about how it doesn’t have the sensor, so they can’t continue. The way to have the sensors work is by transferring the ones from the original controller to the new joysticks. And even if you don’t have them, the controller is still usually, you just won’t have sensors on the thumb sticks.Other people have been saying that once they finished, the controller was just fried. That is something that does happen if you do this thing to your controller. It’s a risk that you have to take if you want to fix your controller. So make sure you don’t have any static electricity on yourself and wear rubber gloves and be careful when you do it.Other than the complaints the people have been having about that, it’s a good product. Takes some time to put it together but it’s worth the outcome. I had stick drift for 1 and a half years and now I’m clear without any of it, feels amazing.

Not easy, but works incredibly well
The joystick on my controller had horrible drift, when I wasn’t even touching it and set it down the joystick registered as it was constantly at the up position. After replacing it using this kit I have 0 drift. Looking at the calibration it stayed directly in the middle without shaking even.As a heads up, this is not as easy to install as the 4 steps in the description lead it to seem. If you are uncomfortable working with tiny objects this would be a real struggle. It does not come with instructions, but you can easily find some if you search ‘quest 2 joystick replacement’; I personally used Ima_Rainbow’s tutorial. Do note if you use that one, it doesn’t explain that you will also need to transfer spring that comes on your quest’s original thumbstick so don’t throw it out. The flat edge of the joystick’s metal piece should be away from the ribbon, VR Review’s tutorial shows this at 6:22.Note: If you think you would struggle with it I recommend reaching out to Meta through email. I did and I received an out-of-warranty deal of a refurbished one for $50, despite mine being used and without a box. I just decided to go with the $20 and experience, especially as it came with another piece which would be useful if my other controller gets drift, and I’m sure any future times would be considerably less time.

Not bad product, but be careful.
The product itself isn’t bad quality, nothing too special, but it does include tools, though not all of which are useful. The included screwdriver is too bulky to fit in order to unscrew some of the small hidden screws. When you take apart the controller, theres a seal around the face panel of it that is destroyed when the panel is removed and the kit doesn’t contain a replacement. Without the seal, the face panel doesn’t quite sit right on the controller, making it harder to press the buttons. Also, replacing the joystick requires a full disassembly of the joystick, and it can be really easy to damage the electronics in the process. Another important thing to note is that there is a spring in the controller that connects to the joystick which detects when the joystick is touched, if this spring is bent or damaged in the slightest, this detection will not work at all and the kit also does not include a replacement. So while replacing the joystick will eliminate stick drift, it can cause other problems. Ultimately I think that this kit is okay if you’re willing to accept that it may be a bit jank, but if you want to maintain the quality of the original controller, it would be better to replace the controller all together. That however is far more expensive. I would say to replace the controller or bring it to get fixed if possible, especially if you do not want to deal with the sensitive electronics.

Tedious work but saves about two hundred dollars
Joysticks were causing spinning in the games. Ordered this to repair since they are stupid expensive to replace. No instructions in box. Found a YouTube video when I searched for “how to fix oculus joystick” . This will test your patience. A light up magnifying glass is helpful. I can’t begin to explain what a giant pain this process was. I managed to put the first one back together and saw I forgot to reinsert about seven microscopic screws. But it held together so I’m not taking it apart again! Did better remembering everything on the second joystick and it turned out fine too. After nearly three hours of working on these and countless words under my breath, they work! A lesson in patience and I’m proud I stuck with it. Just be prepared to take your precious time, go slow, map out on paper where all the screws go so you can replace them correctly (there are different sized ones) and be careful when disassembling so you don’t crack the plastic or break a part! If these little computer chip plugs inside come loose, use the tweezers to carefully reattach. Try not to have that happen bc that tensions task will really slow you down!

These came in a thin cardboard amazon package so I taught they could be damaged as not much protection, but when I opened it the joysticks were in a little plastic zip lock bag in a little plastic box so they were fine it took about an hour each to fix the controllers from watching a YouTube video i would recommend if you didnt want to spend money on new controllers

Das Joystick Ersatz-Set für die Oculus Quest 2 ist ein wirklich hochwertiges Reparaturkit. Es enthält alles, was man für die Reparatur und den Ausbau des Controllers benötigt, inklusive passendem Werkzeug.Einziger Kritikpunkt: Die Anleitung im Lieferumfang hätte deutlich besser sein können. Ich musste mir ein YouTube-Video suchen, um die Reparatur erfolgreich durchzuführen. Ein Link zu einem Tutorial oder einer besseren Anleitung wäre hier hilfreich gewesen.Abgesehen davon bin ich sehr zufrieden und würde das Set definitiv weiterempfehlen.
