Keeps your computer safe in public places
You know, it’s a pain to take your laptop with you to Starbucks or your favorite coffee shop when you need to use the restroom or refill your coffee. However, it is handy in a public library as long as you have a table or desk where you can run the cable and lock your laptop. This works well on my 16-inch Macbook Pro laptop computer, even with plastic protecting covers.

Good product just not with a case on
We got these as we just opened a store and wanted security for our laptops they work great and are easy to use but I only put 4 stars just because when I have my laptop with a case it made the little arms that hug the screen tight and caused it to damage my screen but later on I got it fixed and put it back without the case and I haven’t had any problems.

Fits Well, Secure and Easy To Setup
Having 2 different major brands of laptop, I can state that L had no issues whatsoever in using my AboveTEK MacBook & Surface Laptop Locking Station with Combo Lock Cable.

lock method is good, but cable is not very thick
lock method is good, but cable is not very thick. I like the method of locking (you can not slip the computer out of the stand and the locking mechanism uses an enclosed key slot). I also like that the stand lifts up the back end of the keyboard a little bit. The cable used to lock the assembly to a desk, however, is not very thick. I would imagine that a really good pair of metal shears could go through it. Overall, it seems the best setup for locking a Mac.

Unfortunately the product didn’t fit my laptop. As the legs were in the way. I needed it for an event so couldn’t contemplate returning, so I had to break it and turn it into a grab-proof deterant for the event. For the price I paid, I was a bit disappointed.

Très originale et pratique cette station de verrouillage.Si vous le laisser à demeure, vous pouvez visser la station de verrouillage sur le bureau …..!Autrement avec le câble de 2m en faisant une boucle sur un pied fixe.En tous les cas c’est original comme système, quand vous déverrouiller la station vous agrandissez les bras de réglage pour enserrer l’écran, et vous verrouillez avec la clef. Si vous ajouter le câble, il se verrouille également avec la clef.En pièce de rechange il y a deux taquets pour l’extrémité des bras, si votre écran est plus épais, un tournevis, des vis et bien sûr deux clefs.Le prix est correct pour l’ensemble.

There are some areas that could have been made more durable, but overall, it is well made, with plenty of padding to prevent scratches. I noticed that the arms that came with it were touching my laptop screen, so I replaced them with the larger set that was provided. Now, I can set up my screen at the angle I prefer. It is more compact and lighter than I expected, but it serves its purpose as a deterrent against thieves. Another thing I discovered is that the metal frames can be tightened, and the security cable can be inserted even after the base is locked, which is a bonus (FYI, you cannot extend the frames and the cable cannot be pulled off once locked). Lastly, I was initially worried that my laptop might slip through the base, as the hinge opens to 180 degrees if the base is not screwed onto a hard surface. However, that turned out not to be an issue.
