GET READY FOR THE NEW GRE EXAM AND PASS IT ON YOUR FIRST TRY WITH THE HIGHEST SCORE!
Are you preparing for the GRE and aiming to excel on your first attempt but need realistic Verbal Reasoning practice for the new format?
Your solution is here.
Introducing the GRE Verbal Book: your key to mastering the Verbal Reasoning section of the New GRE format with clear methods, timed practice, and test-day discipline.
The Verbal section is often underestimated: skimming dense academic passages, missing nuanced tone, overlooking logical pivots in Text Completion, and treating Sentence Equivalence as a synonym hunt are exactly where points are lost. That is why you should not miss this volume: the GRE Verbal Book gives you the tools to master RC, TC, and SE, preparing you for every question type on test day.
Inside, you get 200 exam-style questions and real Verbal simulations that mirror test day in structure, tone, and difficulty, so you build accuracy, speed, and confidence where it matters.
This guide is packed with everything you need to succeed in the Verbal section. You will master:
✅ Reading Comprehension (RC): structure-first reading, main idea/purpose, inference vs. detail, select-in-passage.
✅ Text Completion (TC): signposts & pivots, paraphrase-first, multi-blank “lock → coherence check.”
✅ Sentence Equivalence (SE): true meaning-equivalence (not mere synonyms), tone/register control, twin-trap avoidance.
✅ Pacing & Decisions: calibrated rules for 12Q/18′ and 15Q/23′; when to skip, guess, and move.
✅ Smart Vocabulary: high-yield academic words learned in context—not rote lists.
✅ Review That Fixes Errors: micro-rationales and error tags to turn misses into durable skills.
This isn’t just another add-on. It’s the one Verbal book designed to give you every skill needed to dominate GRE Verbal.
Don’t waste time with outdated, generic prep. Pair this Verbal book with its twin, the GRE Math Book, for the complete combo you need to master the GRE.

Great book for GRE language review
This book should be used by any non-native speaker taking the GRE. It’s detailed, accurate, includes sample exam and answers. Detailed explanations of the model questions are also provided. Basically drill through the book, noting all the new vocabulary and do your best to internalize them. If you’re in hard sciences or maths don’t panic, their not trying to keep you out because of your language. Do review and think of the review as another fun intellectual challenge.Great book. I highly recommend it.

a clear, methodical system
I liked this book because it takes the mystery out of GRE Verbal prep and replaces it with a clear, methodical system. The author’s focus on reasoning, pacing, and smart strategy makes even the toughest passages and questions feel manageable. It’s a no-fluff, high-impact guide that helps you think like the test maker—and score like a pro.
