The creator of King Arthur’s Very Great Grandson and Green Pants switches gears with a slyly silly introduction to shapes—just watch out for the emus!
First comes the circle. Then the square and the triangle. Then the . . . emu pushing a pancake wagon down a hill? What begins as a concept book about everyone’s geometric favorites soon defies expectations with a series of funny and imaginative twists. Award-winning author-illustrator Kenneth Kraegel pairs a deadpan text with simple wood-grained shapes, interspersed with vibrant illustrations of animals engaged in hilariously absurd pastimes. Each page turn builds on the delicious anticipation the contrast creates to make this a unique and rollicking story-time hit.

Delightful
I have all of Kenneth Kraegels books! But because my grandkids are a little older, this was not a favorite. However I’ve been taking care of a 2 yr old and she loves it! She likes the shapes but especially likes the funny pages amongst them. And the drawings! She studies them carefully. A delightful book for 1-3 year olds.

Fun story
Great quality board book. What a fun story! It is great for a baby gift, especially when there are older siblings. The older siblings will find the story funny.

Simple, FUNNY, great for younger readers
My 2 yr old grandson LOVES this book, he can already say some of the punch lines in it, (the funny parts), and it is fun to read to him, for me and his parents. I Love all the Kenneth Kraegel books!

Cute Kids’ Book
This is a cute book for babies and the parents who read to them. Silly book and colorful artwork. I have purchased this for a gift several times.
Little Finds Book –
Yep, it’s a book of shape. It’s kinda funny to me. Just my husband doesn’t find any sense with the rhinesorous relation to the shape and the other fillers.I don’t either but I think its just for fun coz the shape alone is boring. Haha. I hope I make sense too.

I borrowed this book from the library and my little one loved it so much we had to buy it! The book is simple, educational, with some quirky fun thrown in! She brings it to me to read multiple times a day.I love all of the ways you can interact with the book, it grows with the child. For example, you can talk about the colours of the shapes. There is an illustration at the end of the book incorporating all of the shapes where we play “I spy”. I’ll definitely be purchasing additional copies as gifts for my friends kids.

Bought it for a friend’s little boy who was turning 2. As soon as he opened it he wanted it read to him right away and then sat down on his own to “read” it again.
