Batterry has a factory issue
Great phone for the elderly that do not want to use the newer smartphones. This one came and after a month of use had an issue with the batterry. Tried returning but was about 5 days after the return date. Fortunatley the seller helped me contact the Kyocera company which apparently phone has a known issue with the batterry. Kyocera sent me a new batterry in about 3 business days. Only issue is that if you do purchase defenitley contact Kyocera ASAP to get a batterry it WILL fail sooner or later. Other than that holds great charge has normal size for a flip phone and really simple to use.

Nearly indestructible
My husband is very hard on phones, he used to go through a phone a year or more (dumb phones only). This is the second Kyocera he’s had, the first one lasted 4 years. He’s a welder so he works in a machine shop and with it being on a belt clip it gets banged up quite a bit. The last one went through the washing machine a few times, down the stairs due to the belt clip breaking one or twice as well. The washer and dryer turned out to be too much but the only issues the last one ever had was the battery was clearly wearing out towards the end. Highly recommend these phones if you’re similarly hard on yours.

Waste of money
Unable to get the phone unlocked, spent over 2 hours dealing with manufacturer and carrier. What a waste of time and money. DO NOT BUY!I have wasted hour with the seller, and Kyocera and get nothing. The Whiz Cell sent an email that said they would help. What a lie. They never return my messages It has been over 3 hours and nothing. I tried to call them but all I got was the phone is out of service.DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THIS LOUSY PHONE OR ON THE WHIZ CELL, BUY SOMETHING ELSE!

overall these are really good phones
had to send back because the battery didn’t stay charged very long. great seller though, gave me a refund. i know people who have these and they say these are very durable, easy to use, small enough to fit in your pocket, and overall just a really good value for your money. I was just buying a refurbished phone that must have still had a bad battery.

ePTT feature is also no longer supported
I like this phone, but there’s some issues.- Just to clarify, this is not carrier unlocked. To get this phone completely unlocked, it requires having AT&T for 6months, and their customer service is horrible. Service is 0-2 bars for us and we live in a big city.- The ePTT feature is also no longer supported by either verizon nor AT&T, so this feature is useless. To be fair, the push to talk was a fun feature i looked forward to but it still would rely on cellphone service to operate, so there’s no hard advantage compared to just calling whomever.- We would like it unlocked to switch to Mint mobile. With Mint its cheaper and better reception and customer service.Why I still like this phone.- Removeable battery and cheap to replace.- Only a camera that faces away from me when open.- No apps (i like my phones to be “stupid”)- Endurable & Water resistant

Cell Phone Can Be Unlocked – Just Contact Seller
Bottom Line: For those wanting phone unlocked, reach out and email the seller to get the unlock code!Details:So I was concerned when I got the phone and tried to unlock via AT&T website. I got denied (I don’t use AT&T service, I use a T-Mobile MVNO). Reading the policy on AT&T, it says there is a 60-day waiting period and I got concerned. I started the return process on Amazon. However, the seller reached out to me when I started the return and gave me the unlock code. It worked immediately (same day I received the phone). I must say I was really impressed with seller Whiz Cells 2. Great customer service.

if you have app poisoning get this
Great little phone, it doesn’t come with bloatware and you can program a ton of the keys. Pop the battery out and put in a fresh one, you’ve got another full charge in like 15 seconds and they each last several days. Even has a micro sd slot.

Not very happy with this product right now
This phone is advertised on Amazon as unlocked and also the box it came in ,when it was activated its a AT&T phone and the name Kyocera new E4830 DURA XE Epic , one at&t store said to me ( we sell phones not set them up ) as of now its locked phone with no contract its a pre-paid per month, one other store can work on it and still can not get the voicemail set right , well anyways I like the phone and after 26 years with AT&T and it gets unlocked whenever that is else where I will go.
