Decent replacement for S22
Decent phone for the price. Switched from Samsung S22. It broke, so I wanted to try a lower priced option. This phone is slightly slower to load and process, but to be expected and overall not much slower. Arrived quickly and no issues.

Great phone and worth keeping
Great phone! But get a cover right away. I dropped it one month after I got it and I’m just going to deal with a cracked screen now because I like the phone enough.

This has the features that SHOULD be standard!
Motorola deserves a huge amount of credit for manufacturing a modern smartphone with a 3.5mm headphone jack, expandable storage by Micro SD, and most importantly, an unlockable bootloader. These features should be standard across the board, but the flagship phones from most manufacturers neglect to include these things.I love the 120hz display and the 720p resolution doesn’t bother me. The battery life is impressive as well. This is an extremely good product for the low price. The phone isn’t very durable, though, and mine got a crack in its screen after falling out of my pocket a single time. Maybe that should be expected at the price point of this phone, but it was still disappointing. Definely buy a case and screen protector with this.As is par for the course with most smartphones, Motorola’s stock version of Android isn’t very good, but that shouldn’t be held against them when the unlockable bootloader allows you to flash a custom ROM of your choice. I’ve had a great time experimenting with different versions of Android, (Lineage OS, /e/,) though technical problems which might not be Motorola’s fault have forced me back to the stock OS to retain all of the device’s crucial functionality.

Works perfectly
This is a great budget phone. I ordered it to work with Tello (which is a T-Mobile MVNO). The phone is fully unlocked and connected to Tello without issue. I first used an e-SIM. The Tello e-SIM installed using the QR code and functions perfectly. I then used a physical Tello SIM for a second line. That SIM installed and activated without issue as well. Both getting a 5G connection. Everything with the phone is working perfectly (WiFi, 5G/4G, Bluetooth, speakerphone, etc). Battery life is excellent. I did have to do a lot of security updates to get the phone current from the base install of Android 14. Then, just today (8/7/2025) it received the Android 15 update. Which is great!I can tell the phone was originally used with Visible (by Verizon). Physically the phone is in very good condition. It has a few extremely minor scratches on the screen but that’s it. Other than that it looks brand new. The scratches are only visible when you clean the screen with something like an alcohol wipe and with the light hitting at just the right angle. I installed a tempered glass screen protector and the tiny scratches are completely hidden.Overall a great phone at a great price that works with all the major carriers. Android 15 is running great on it is as well.

Great phone, poor specs
The specs said this phone would work with my provider but I found out that it was incompatible. I had no complaints with the quality of phone, but I think I should have been informed with which carriers this phone would work and which ones it wouldn’t.

The problem is the phone is lagging
That the phone is freezing or lagging if it wasn’t for that I would not have returned it because I love Motorola phones but it looks like someone else has bought the phone and returned it also because there was a lot of scratches on the phone

At first, I tried a Umidigi Note 100 to replace my Samsung S20. That was not a good idea. I returned the phone and got this Moto G. Night and day! This is a very nice phone. It was very easy to set up, thank you Google, and although it is a renewed phone, it appears to be brand new. It upgraded to Android 15 right out of the box. It rides on Public Mobile here in Manitoba and the calls are crystal clear. Far better than on the Samsung S20. As for WiFi usage, it gets along very well with our Deco6 mesh system. It toggles between the 2 bands seemlessly and hums along at 500 Mbps inside the house. The speaker sound is far superior to the Samsung and the Umidigi. I am not into games so that’s not a big criteria for me and if I decide to take on a major engineering project, I’ll use my laptop…It works equally well on data and watching YouTube in the great outdoors was not a problem. It easily matches the Samsung S20 FE and definitely surpasses the Umidigi. I was apprehensive about buying a “renewed” phone but it turns out that I made the right choice.

for the price it’s probably one of the best options for a personal phone. Minus the camera quality (which isn’t horrible, just not anything special) the phone runs really fast and has good optimization. It’s support for newer android models + the new Moto OS looks awesome. Phone was in great condition— wouldn’t be able to tell it apart from a brand-new one. Definitely get this one over the other brands on amazon like UMIDIGI and such. I’d say the experience may even be a bit smoother than on samsung, but I won’t say too much since the phone isn’t technically mine. I just set it up for my bf.

I really like the phone. Mine came unlocked so no issues there. It takes great photos and does everything else I need it to. No visible damage to it at all, it looks brand new. The only issue I had was that the charging block that came with it doesn’t work. The cord is fine, and luckily I have extra blocks to use anyway but it loses a star for that issue.

Like-new condition, good battery, unlocked, works great! Able to perform system updates up to Android 15!

So you get what you pay for I guess. The phone is perfect except as a phone function. The speaker for the phone specifically is horrible. It’s always sounding garbled and I can’t hear people on the other end. Every call is this way. I needed a phone with a proper phone speaker so I’m choked. The media speaker on the bottom is fine though thankfully. I understand it’s refurbished but you can’t sell a phone and say it’s been tested if the main function of a phone , for PHONE CALLS is in horrible condition. I don’t give products low ratings but I’d say 2.5. I gave it a 3 because for the price it’s what you have to accept. Changed it because few weeks later it’s infuriating how horrible any call is.
