LOTS of (non-technical) answers in this review including: This model comes with a backlit keyboard!
I’m giving this four stars only because it did not come with a touchscreen which should be a standard in any laptop these days, regardless of price. That is a personal gripe, not anything wrong with this computer. It is advertised without a touchscreen so you get what is in your package and nothing more. That being said, everything in the ad was correct, although some was omitted for no reason. While I only received this a few days ago, I am very happy with the purchase. Here are some answers to questions people may have (like myself that weren’t all addressed on the ad): No, it does not have a touch screen. Yes, the keyboard is backlit (with three settings of brightness). Yes, it only has three ports (2 USB-C, 1 USB-A) plus a 3MM audio headphones jack (buy a USB-C hub with additional ports and carry it along for all your excess accessories). Yes, the speakers are loud enough to hear over a small desk fan and will bug your neighbors on a flight, although the sound quality is not special in any way. Yes, the OLED screen is spectacularly bright (mine was received at 30% which was bright enough to do all the setup – once I turned it up to 100% to watch a film, it was almost too bright — 80% seems to be perfect, although it drains the battery quickly too) — brightness significantly affects battery life (at 100% brightness, my battery was dropping 10% every 20 minutes). At an advertised “34 HOURS of battery life”, that would only be if you’re running your screen around 20% which would be viewable but not ideal). BE AWARE that gorgeous OLED screens can and WILL eventually lead to “burn-in” after a few months so make sure you adjust your settings accordingly (set it to timeout regularly, set a screensaver, close it when not in use, etc…). No, the trackpad is not glass but it is comfortable and responsive and does not feel cheap – although the left/right clicks are audible. Yes, you would probably want to get a wireless/wired mouse (attach it to a separate hub so it doesn’t take up valuable port real estate). Yes, the keys on the keyboard are large and the lettering is VERY large (larger than my standard HP keyboard on both counts FYI – for anyone struggling with eyesight, these are a Godsend). Yes, it came with a 60W power adapter and charging cord (you need an adapter to power your laptop along with a standard USB-C charging cord – you cannot power the laptop with just the cord by itself plugged into the wall). I have no idea how AI works or any logistics on speed/graphic cards/processors/etc… There are plenty of other reviews addressing the good stuff. It is very fast at 16GB/1TBB configuration. The setup was easy – just make sure you have all your Microsoft and Google access info readily available. Everything functions exactly as you would expect and is great value for the money. I purchased it at 24% off and for that money, I think I got a fantastic deal. For what it’s worth: If you need a touchscreen, buy one with a touchscreen or get a scrolling mouse. For a 14″ laptop, this is my new toy and am thrilled to have it. I hope you enjoy yours as well.

Touch pad needs work
Very nice computer. Im used to much more premium devices! I’ve always had pretty good luck with hp. The one thing if anything i wish was a bit better is the track pad! Track pad is too loose and wiggles inside my unit. One side is a wee bit higher than the other. I’ll learn to live with it which is new for me. Normally something like that would be a deal breaker! Im in the process of learning to not be so picky about my electronics.

Inoperable Keyboard
The laptop’s spacebar does not work reliably. Sometimes I press it, and it does nothing. This is absolutely unacceptable for a new laptop. Will NEVER buy an HP laptop again. I was going back and forth between this and a Surface. I would not buy this laptop. The keyboard also FEELS cheap.

Screen is awesome, its battery life is better than most …
The screen is fire! The laptop is easy top operate. Battery life good, but not as advertised. The cover of the laptop will scratch—get a cover or a wrap. It’s fast, it’s reliable and doesn’t heat up and stays connected. Windows needs to update daily…

A Great Computer, But…
I really wanted to like this computer. I am a big fan of small light laptops and love the lightness 2.35 pounds. The screen quality and color is the best I have ever seen on a laptop. I was a bit skeptical about the Qualcomm Chip in it but when I got it the performance jumping from screen to screen and even my usual 10-15 tabs up at a time it performed extremely well, until the achille’s heal. I plugged it in to my external monitor and the screen kept freezing. I tried multiple things, but it would just not work so it pains me to say I had to send this one back and pay double for the same computer with an AMD Ryzen 9 chip in it.For those looking at this computer I would say that if you do not need an external monitor, are not a major gamer, or need a fantastic backup computer for travel this is your guy. If you need those things you are going to have to pay up a bit more to get what you are looking for.
