Immersive and a great gift!
This thing is so cool! Bought this as a gift for my nephew and he loves how immersive it is. He’s a little sports fan and has been getting into baseball lately. He’s been having so much fun learning about the sport and it’s history with this kit. Ended up being a great gift for him.

This is not a video game type toy
This is not a video type game. So, that said if you are looking for that type VR it’s best to pass this one by. This Is more for educational purposes than anything. You may find the information shared might spark an interest in other sports or additional interest in the sports they may already by connected to. It is fun watching my grandsons Looking into sports they know nothing about. There’s not much to this item as far as various parts. It comes with a book, the VR goggles and e few medals. The quality is reasonable and it is compatible with Android OS. For the most part it depends just what you might want or expect from this type of toy. I was aware it’s an educational aid for sports when I ordered it. In view of that I got what I was expecting. I’m not content giving my seal of approval for being a good value for the money. I feel the price point to be higher than the overall value. Hence the four instead of five stars. I don’t expect my grandsons to place this on their favorite list. I think it will be one of those ehhh seen that done that toys. I will say it is exactly as advertised. I see no misleading information. If you are considering this item read the description and know what you want before ordering. If you are interested in an educational toy to use with todays technology, then this will meet you needs. I can recommend it only as educational.

Educational and fun for kids!
This showed up nicely packaged and ready to gift, which was great. Getting it set up with the QR code was pretty easy, and my kids dove right in to check out all the different sports. There’s a good amount of variety, and the book that comes with it actually has some interesting stuff in it.The educational side is where this really shines. My 9-year-old was learning about sports he usually couldn’t care less about, so that was cool to see. Just don’t expect this to be like a crazy action-packed VR game – it’s way more educational than that. You’re basically learning about sports history and facts in a VR format. If you’re thinking it’ll be like you’re actually playing in a game, that’s not what this is. The little medals are a fun addition though. My only real issue is the headset gets uncomfortable after 15-20 minutes, especially for smaller kids. But overall, it’s a solid pick if you want something that’ll get kids interested in sports while trying out VR. Just know going in that it’s more of a learning thing than a gaming thing.

Not quite what I expected
Maybe my expectations were too high when I saw ESPN and DK, but it wasn’t as immersive as I expected. It was more informative, so if you’re looking for more of the learning experience and less of the excitement, then this may be a better fit for you.The box is nice, making this ready for gifting. However, there was a crack in the plastic inside mine. The medals are a fun little addition, but mine needed to be put back in their slots upon arrival. You have to scan a QR code to download the app to get it all set up. I feel like the headset could be a bit more comfortable, and that this could be a bit easier to use in terms of functionality.

Insights from the Older Generation!
For the “older crowd” this is like an updated ViewMaster, except it’s animated. You clip in your cellphone, use the book to find an icon related to a story of interest and it takes off from there. Very clever design and the packaging and quality of the printed book are extraordinary. The book alone is fantastic and as a gift it would be ideal for any sports enthusiast. My problem is that since I was a kid many years ago I had a eye defect that does not allow me to visualize 3D very well so I have trouble combining the left and right images, just as I did 60 years ago when I first used the View Master, but it is truly a great gift but remember, you need the phone and the app and if you give it to a child, suddently the phone may disappear from the apparatus and get used for another purpose, so keep an eye on ’em

A pretty awesome gift.
You know if it is endorsed by ESPN then it is definitely going to be a high quality item. I thought this was a really fun gift and great for kids. I think gifts like these are pretty awesome since they are really inspiring and teaches children to reach for the Stars. It might be just the push that you need to get your child off the couch and into some sports. I also think that older adults would enjoy it as well so that they can experience some cool sports firsthand, rather than just watching the game on the TV. I can’t wait to give this to my nephew to enjoy. I know he’s going to love reading about all of the sports facts and then getting to experience it himself. I opened it up and I noticed that you scan a QR code, to take you to the website to get you set up for the virtual reality. You have to put in an activation code to get it all set up, but it seems pretty straightforward. I also think that it’s a pretty good value for the money, because finding a VR headset for that price is kind of hard to do, and I thought this was definitely a fun experience that kids could use over and over again.
