A very very fun coffee table book!
It’s the most I’ve ever paid for a book, but it is gorgeous. The book arrived in perfect condition. The hand drawn illustrations are very well done, and very detailed, like I could follow along and build what was detailed. There is a ton of information like how to build a shelter, how to make leather, how to make yeast for bread, and some recipes.I got the book because I realized I did not know how a lot of appliances I use work, though I use them on the daily. I feel like this is a good, general overview of common items in a physical form rather than just scrolling on the internet. It’s nice to feel the weight of the book in my lap and sliding my fingers across the page when I read.

Big Book Of Knowledge
Beautiful book! It is large, classy, beautifully illustrated, and a great conversational piece. Not sure if it will give you everything you need to rebuild after an apocalypse, but it feels like it should. You could probably at least use it as some sort of body armor or a bludgeon if needed, as it is THICK.

Interesting with Caution
The book is really interesting. There is an insert for sex toys due to complaints by parents whose children encountered the pages unknowingly in the book. The book is heralded as a survival guide and rebuilding society.So, what do sex toys have to do with survival? That escapes me somehow.

This item has been on my wish list for months, but I could never quite justify the cost. However, thanks to generous relatives and a recent birthday, I’ve now got my copy and its everything I’d hoped for. I’ve not sat down for an in-depth read, so please bear in mind that this review is based on first impressions and initial leaf through.First off, The Book is gorgeous. It looks and feels very satisfactory with a tactile cover, and ‘weathered’ pages adding to the impression of some ancient tome. The illustrations are intricately detailed combining accurate technical information with flamboyant flourishes that blend traditional illumination with some sly pop cultural references and easter eggs.It arrived in excellent condition with its own storage box, and a post card from the creators, which serves as a handy bookmark; as another reviewer mentioned, if I had one quibble it would be the lack of a sewn ribbon marker but I’m not going to take off a star for that. I think that this is going to be a useful reference resource for years to come, and a nice one to just dip into occasionally. This is one of those items that is not ‘only’ a book, but a work of art, and its creators and contributors should be proud of what they have made.
