Best bumper case for iPhone 17
I love these bumper cases. They aren’t all about protection but I’ve used them on my iPhones (along with a good screen protector purchased separately) for years and never had my phone crack.For iPhone 17, I tried another vendor’s bumper case first. It wasn’t great because the bottom side button design causing the rubber to separate from the plastic bumper.This case however is better built, and the bottom button hole is all inline so I don’t foresee the rubber separating. It is exactly as pictured which I appreciate. If you like the bumper cases or want to try it, go with this one!

85% protected, but 1000% aesthetic! Worth it!
By far one of the sleekest cases I’ve found for any iPhone. It’s low profile and slim allowing for the phone to keep its beautiful design and silhouette, but there are little ridges at the corners allowing for functional protection and a level lay while protecting the camera. Phone feels secure and the case fits perfect with easy access to buttons. Probably not the highest level of protection, but that’s an exchange I’m happy to make for the amount of aesthetic this case delivers. The phone is protected for sure, but the back exposed for better and for worse. The iPhone 16 pro max is made from titanium, so it’s super durable.

Basic “no-statement” bumper case that makes the phone finally sit flat / no more camera bump wiggle
If you’re like me and find the extreme camera bump protrusion on these phones to be a poor design choice which requires correction, but you aren’t looking to put anything too lavish or overly chunky on your phone to achieve this, then it might be a winner.It’s not a high-style case with super premium materials, but it isn’t cheap-looking either, just wraps around the phone- the outer layer is aluminum, the inner is nondescript, black plastic, with curved standoffs on each corner. These just exceed the depth of the lenses, so as the plastic wears-down over time, it might eventually reach a point where the lenses will make contact with a surface below, but depends how rough you are with your phone.I seriously breathed a sigh of relief when I set the phone down and it just freaking stayed flat. So, for $13, it was well worth it.One issue I had initially- the action of the sleep/wake/power button through the case was extremely mushy when first installed. I took it off to ascertain the reason, and it appears to be due to excess adhesive material around the sides of that aluminum button, as all the case buttons are glued to some textile material on the interior of the case, allowing them to stay in place. I pushed the button out from the case enough to access the side and took a fiberglass pencil to them, removing all the excess glue. A fine nail file would probably also work. This same technique would be effective for any buttons with that issue.

Not metal. Just cheap, hard plastic.
This is five cents worth of cheap, hard plastic. It has no shock absorbing material at all. In other words, if I were to drop my phone on concrete, this bumper case might save your phone from getting scratched, but it won’t save you from getting a broken screen. The impact will pass right through it.Also, are they really claiming this is made of metal? It’s definitely not. I can twist and bend it and it snaps back into shape when I let go of it.
