Fabulous for toddlers and preschoolers
I was raised bilingual and am trying to do the same with my kids, but they predominantly speak English. I also volunteer teaching Spanish at my son’s preschool. This book is an EXCELLENT introduction to the alphabet and simple words. My younger child is not yet 2 and he is just learning his letters. He LOVES this book. He’s learning his alphabet in both languages at the same time, and “getting” it. My older child, who is 4, loves this book for the vocabulary. He knows his letters in both languages, but his Spanish vocab is not robust. This book helps him feel successful when he remembers a word and he’s old enough now to understand the sounds letters make (in both languages) and then use that as a hint when looking at the picture under the letter and trying to remember the word in Spanish. It’s a simple and fun book. We read it so much, I have it memorized. We were on a road trip a few weeks ago and I was able to keep the kids entertained, reciting the book from memory. This will be the book I use at the school to “kick off” the Spanish curriculum.

Bilingual alphabet book 📖
This book is exactly what I wanted. I was about to write my own because it was hard to find a book like it.The special thing about this books is that the English and Spanish word start with the same letter. Other bilingual books we have don’t do that.It was important to me because we’re learning the alphabet and I think it’s confusing to think B is for butterfly when it is also M for mariposa. I like that this book makes it easy to focus on the letter instead of building vocabulary.

Great book for reading.
My 6 year old is learning how to read in both English and Spanish. He is using this book to learn how to read and he does enjoy this book. Thank you.

Great concept – some words could be better
We love reading this with our son so I can read it to him in English and my husband can then provide the Spanish translation. I think it is an awesome concept and many of the words were chosen well. I think some could be improved upon (Washington DC for “w” in both), but candidly I only know a few words in Spanish and thus don’t have the vocabulary to actually come up with better alternatives. Regardless, we do like it a lot!

This is one of my baby’s favorite books. She loves to look at the bright …
This is one of my baby’s favorite books. She loves to look at the bright but fairly simple colors and pictures. The thick cardboard pages are easy to turn for her and I also feel really good knowing that she can start to learn a bit of Spanish while also learning the alphabet in English. Very educational but fun book.

Great book for baby.
Me gusta el libro y al bebito le gusta ambient. Me gusta como incluye la letra “ñ”. Dice, “ñ es para ñame.” en espanol y “ñame means yam.” en ingles.I like this book and the baby does too. I like how it includes the letter “ñ”. It says, “ñ es para ñame.” in Spanish and “ñame means yam.” in English.

Word Choices a Bit Tortured
Purpose of the book is to teach the alphabet in Spanish and English. Each letter selected must have the Spanish and English word for the item start with the same letter (like “A” is for Airplane and Avion). Some of the word choices get a bit tortured in order to do this for the entire alphabet. Would have been better off buying two books, one in English and one in Spanish, for better vocabulary choices and (i think) more fun.

Afortunadamente, este libro ofrece una lista de objetos cuyo nombre (en ambos idiomas) inicia con la misma letra, lo cual permite que los niños comprendan más fácilmente las traducciones

Nice little book. Cute pictures. Double letters that exist in the Spanish alphabet are left out, possible because words don’t begin with any double letter. But the author could have shown the letter in a word. I suppose this would make it rather tricky to understand for a little child??? W = Washington DC so it has an American tilt. Some words could have been more ‘toddler’ level of understanding eg D = Desert/ Desierto. Maybe D is for diamante/ diamond would have been better but perhaps an American toddler is familiar with deserts??? Anyway my little 2 year old likes it so I would recommend it!

Erstmal, fantastisch, daß es überhaupt solche zweisprachige Bücher gibt. Daß tolle an dieses Buch ist, daß die Authoren Wörter gefunden haben, die auch wircklich für beide Sprachen passen. So ist das Bild auch für beide Wörter gleich, die brauchen keine zweiten Bilder.Das Buch ist schön stabil und wird uns glaub ich einiges aushalten.
