Speakers on the bottom?!
So far it is working ok. My biggest gripe: The speakers are on the bottom of the laptop. This is horrible. In order to me to hear clearly, I have it propped up on a stand and have speakers connected. I did not have high expectations for this laptop.

UPDATE 2/4/26: DO NOT BUY THIS. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SELLER. The device was 3 weeks old when it stopped working. This seller will not honor the warranty they supposedly offer in place of the HP warranty, the HP warranty they invalidate because this seller opened the device and upgraded hardware, (find that listed somewhere). The seller refunded ~$150less on a device that broke after 3 weeks because I didn’t have the original packaging, because I didn’t plan for the device to break after 3 weeks of use. I literally asked for a replacement; they refused. Told me since I opened a return, that’s all they could do. They told me I could get the refund and buy it again; they raised the price by $150, so my net loss, their additional profit would then be $300…on an $800 laptop. They won’t tell you before you send it back how much the penalty is for not having the box; that’s fully in their hands, they got to decide how much a cardboard box is worth…apparently ~$150. Pretty good profit to get your product back to fix and resell again. ESSENTIALLY, I WAS LEGALLY ROBBED OF ~$150 BY THIS SELLER. DISGUSTED AMAZON HAS VENDORS LIKE THIS. BTW; I saved the chat thread.Update 1/26: got device back from HP with a letter. apparently HP won’t honor the warranty because the seller invalidates that warranty when they open the device and memory and hard drive to it. The seller won’t bother to tell you that, even when you open a return with them and tell them it’s broken, tell them you’re sending to HP. Never stopped me. Wasted 3 weeks sending to HP when it had no HP warranty.Update 1/20: HP won’t honor warranty. Says there’s damage “customer induced.” Didn’t include photos or evidence. I have asked for the photos, evidence, “what broke”. Quoted me $400+ to fix…my brand new, “under warranty” laptop. There was no physical damage to the device. It just stopped working.NEVER BUYING ANYTHING HP AGAIN.DUDE, I’M GETTING A DELL!OriginalRight now…not happy. Worked fine…for a few weeks. Recieved on 11/18, been dead since Monday 12/8. No event, nothing of note, it just wouldn’t power on for Monday fun. It decided to not power on and only flash the CAPS LOCK button.No removable battery. No specific support references for THIS model. Good luck finding that as anything other than a “possible hardware issue”. Good luck getting support from HP on their website; it’s like they hide the button to open a ticket, while telling you there is still ~6 months of warranty on your device.I’ve worked in IT for over 35 years. I have opened and fixed hundreds of laptops; this one I am afraid of damaging and not getting a refund if that’s the path. It doesn’t have to be this hard. I can’t lay this is on the seller; unfortunately, this seems to be an HP “budgetary device” thing. HP, don’t sell devices that won’t sustain after the first month, then hide the warranty information so the user can’t declare a warranty fix. Not happy right now…only because of the support inconvenience. Technology things happen. It shouldn’t be a “where’s Waldo?” to find support options.
