A mixed learning experience with this Italian workbook…
My dad always used to tell me stories when he lived in Italy. He told me all about the amazing food, culture, and people, as well as all the pretty vineyards and buildings. His tales made me want to visit Italy someday! Guess what? That “someday” will actually happen. It’ll be three months from now. Since I’ll be staying there for weeks, I might as well make the most of my experience and learn Italian too. So, I went to Amazon and bought the first book that caught my eye. This book had some really nice covers. It looked very professional. Although few at the time, there were some good reviews, so I figured I was in some good hands. Overall, I had mixed feelings about this book. It was good, but it could be better!THE GOODI think this book’s greatest strength is its well-structured content. The 15-minute lessons were a genius idea. It works very well for adult beginners like me. Each lesson is simply written. I love how the author managed to break down complex lessons into digestible chunks. Moreover, the grammar section and the tips to avoid mistakes were a sensible touch. I really appreciate that as Italian grammar tends to be really tricky. Also, I didn’t know that there’s a difference between Southern and Northern Italian! This little cultural section was pretty neat too.Next, I’d like to talk about the exclusive bonuses because holyyy molly– there’s A LOT. My favorite out of all of them so far would be the audio support (the full audiobook version and the pronunciation audio guide,) whenever I have some downtime at work or when I’m doing some chores, I just tune in. It’s a great way to maximize time. I haven’t checked the traveling ebooks yet, but I’m currently using the worksheets, study plan, and Top 100 lists while reading this workbook. It helped enhance my learning experience.WHAT COULD BE BETTERThe reason why I have mixed feelings about this workbook is because even though the content is really good, I noticed a downside. I feel like some sections are a bit too simplified… Maybe I’m searching for more in-depth discussions, especially with verb tenses. I’d also like some more cultural insights so I can relate more to the idioms and slang without looking it up online. Some exercises were too short as well… It would be better if there were different lengths of exercises to tease the brain a bit. Although these are maybe just some personal preferences, I’d love it if some of my suggestions be considered for future versions.

A more manageable route in mastering Italian
I started learning Italian a few weeks ago. I actually enrolled myself in actual classes. However, I’m finding it really hard to stay consistent due to my busy schedule. Work has been so hectic lately that I have missed some sessions… But, I really wanted to make this work. I want to learn Italian.A friend of mine suggested this book to me. I decided to give it a try… I’m so glad I did. It completely changed my learning progress! Those short lessons were indeed a 15-minute read! I can fit it right into my morning breakfast. I usually read 1 or 2 lessons while drinking coffee. Most of the lessons complement the ones taught in my classes. Plus, the audiobook and audio guides were an incredible addition. I listen to them on the way to work, making the most out of my time. I’m now a lot happier with my Italian and I’ll be attending my class next session! I can’t wait to show off my new Italian skills đ

I bought their other workbook before, I was impressed and wanted to check out their other books as well. The first that arrived was this Italian workbook. And as expected, the quality was just superb. They never disappoint.This book is packed with everything you need to know as a beginner. The content inside is all well-structured. It doesn’t feel overwhelming at all! The paragraphs are not too long, and there is enough spacing between each one, making it a lot easier to read. Aside from the amazing content, I was surprised that there were also some self-evaluation tools like quizzes, assessments, exercises, and practice worksheets. Seriously, what else could I ever need?Overall, I’m quite satisfied with my purchase. I had a lot of fun reading this book! I can’t wait to use this on my Italy trip next year.

An adult beginner’s best friend
As an adult struggling with work and family, I thought I would never find the time to do hobbies… let alone a whole new language. Nonetheless, I tried. And with this book, it worked! I’m so happy I took the risk. Those short 15-minute lessons are very doable, even on my busiest days. It’s just a matter of discipline and commitment. The book laid down everything you need, and it’s just up to us to learn something from it.Moreover, the grammar lessons, especially the added section about grammar pitfalls, were a life-saver. I was confused at first with the verb tenses, but thankfully, the book cleared it all up. In addition, I’d also like to talk about the exclusive bonuses included upon purchasing this book. I enjoyed reading the travel ebooks as I really plan to visit Italy in the future. The 30-day study plan was also great for keeping track of my learning progress. I haven’t checked the other bonuses, but I plan to in the next few days.

Very incomplete grammar clarification. Inaccurate information: Do Not Purchase.
I purchased this so I could refresh my understanding of basic Italian grammar. But unfortunately, this book is really very poorly constructed.For example in presenting definite articles “lo” is used without any explanation as to why not “le”. Same for “gli” in the plurals. Thank goodness for the internet as resource for clarification.I would not recommend this workbook for anyone who is serious about learning Italian.Also, there is no way this format will teach anyone to speak Italian in any amount of time let alone 30 days.Updated review: absolutely worthless. Indefinite article section misleading content and corresponding answers incorrect.

If you literally have ZERO Italian skills, you’ll love this book. It starts slowly… but gradually transitions you to challenging topics like grammar and differences in Northern and Southern Italian. Other than that, there are a lot of exercises and vocabulary to practice from. PRO TIP: Use the 30-day plan. Planning and keeping track of my progress was really effective for me. Try it!

I installed an app on my phone to get started in learning Italian. Although, it was good. I think it was lacking. I find myself wanting more. That’s why I bought this book as an additional learning material. And… wow. It offered so much more than the app I installed! I wished I thought of this before spending time with the app tbh… In this book, the grammar was fully explained. The exclusive bonuses were a big help in enhancing my learning experience.

Although this book has been really great in teaching grammar and everyday vocabulary… I don’t think it’s travel-friendly. Why? It’s kind of too big to fit on my purse! đ I wished they would make a pocket-sized version. I’d looove that. But, other than that, I really have no complaints. Absolutely rubbish, it teaches you words, definite articles indefinite and the test you on them but hasnât taught you the answers to the questions (plurals,singular) donât buy very hard.
