Great book, but not for algebra absolute beginners
Terrific Algebra book! Even if it is not your primary text book, it explains a gross majority of concepts in a way a beginner can understand. However, it is highly recommended that you have done well in highschool algebra as a junior or senior OR as a college freshman.

Best College Algebra Ever!
I bought this book to refresh my algebra so I could go on to refresh my calculus so I could read a college textbook on meteorology. I’m working my way through the first chapter, prerequisites. The structure of the text leaves nothing to chance. Every function we need to master is given short blocks of text with good examples. There are tons of problems so you can really ingrain each thing you’re learning, and there’s a ton of material on practical applications. There are also questions that get you thinking math, thinking about how math works.

Great book, but beware no code when buying “new”
Came good! Some marks on the book, as if it’s been used before but it looks new otherwise. Docked a star because it appears slightly new, and since it does not come with the code.

Great Condition
I am using this for a class I am taking and books are so expensive I just rent them. I expected it to come all beat up with marks throughout the book, but it looks brand new/barley used. I am impressed. I have rented many times before and it they are usually have pages falling out, but not with this one. I don’t know why other people were complaining about it. It has example problems and explains how to do each section. There are tons of practice problems as well. Overall I am satisfied.

It is just what I needed for the course. The book has been used, but it does the job and saved me a lot of money just by renting the text book.

SO Bad
This book does not explain anything. It’s basically just practice problems. I’m used to having textbooks that will at least attempt to explain a concept before baptizing you by fire. This book is awful.
