This book on beginner html and JavaScript is the answer.

For the last couple of years, the news keeps talking about the digital economy and how everyone needs programmers. It seems like everyone wants to learn how to code. However, it is not that easy. Coding is a skill; and like any skill it takes time to learn. Like any skill, the younger you start; the better you get.

From my personal experience with coding and also with teaching young kids how to code, let me tell you that coding is a lot of fun and extremely gratifying.

It teaches you how to organize, think logically, communicate, work in teams and be more creative.

However, programming can be hard to learn. Especially if you start reading advanced books. You need a step-by-step guide to get started. This book starts off with the very basics; how to install the software, set up and write your first lines of code. There are exercises at the end of each chapter that can test your new found knowledge and move you ahead.

And then, we get you a few more advanced skills that can get you started making websites.

Even if you’ve never touched a computer in your life, you will find this book useful.

    Coding is fun
Excellent book, although it is for children, it can also be used by adults like me who are interested in learning coding with material that explains the concepts in a simple and fun way to understand. I learned several interesting things about HTML, CSS, and Javascript, which are the basics to know how to structure your own website. The book is super interesting and I liked that after each lesson there are practice exercises to test what you learned. The way the topics are explained makes you want to keep learning, so I highly recommend it.

    Easy To Follow
Did you ever wonder what goes into what you actually see on your computer screen? This book is designed for kids, but adults can easily learn coding from it as well. It starts with the basics of coding & gives a hands on approach to learning how to do HTML or Java Script coding. There are exercises & a quiz at the end of each chapter to reinforce what you’ve just learned before moving onto the next lesson.

    Not just for kids
Okay, I know this book is for kids and early teens, but sometimes I need things explained to me as one would a kid. This is a very beginner friendly book and explains the complex concepts of coding in a simple and concise manner. I learned a lot from reading this book and think it is amazing to help kids learn more. I love that it takes you step by step from the very beginning; the very basics. I love the different exercises to test what you’ve learned. It definitely takes a subject I’ve always found intimidating and made it approachable for me. Definitely recommend.

    Seems good little hiccup
Just bought this book. Working through it and will be happy to update and leave a five star once i get a little further into it. However need some assistance addressing an inconsistency between what I’m seeing on my computer and what the book says I should see. Page 18-20 talk about testing the program Notepad++ however my computer does not show the options ‘Run’ the test for Chrome/IE//Mozilla when this option is selected. If you could please assist I’d be happy to upgrade review. Without assistance I will not be able to get past page 18 and thus this purchase would be a waste.

Great exercise book to go through with your kids
Great for anyone just learning html–not just kids. I sat down with my son to go through this and I enjoyed it as much as he did. I have the digital version of the book, so it made it super easy to use some of the links and to directly copy the text over to notebook. This is an actionable book, you/your kids probably are not going to sit down an just read it, but rather, you are going to want to have it open in one window while you walk through the steps in another. Overall, we had a lot of fun creating the examples given and even coming up with a few of our own text boxes using java script!

I can hardly read the small and blurry texts in those printed figures. I think they are just print screen images with very low resolution.
