An honest reviewer –
Amazing soundbar, easy setup and unique touches in design
I want to preface this that I have used some of the best companies for my soundbar setup in the past (ie, Bose, Sony and Samsung soundbar). I have struggled with setup and then fine tuning the sound. Bose was one of the worst with their app setup and connection to WiFi absolutely horrible setup process.I decided I wanted something easier and better sound. I came across this soundbar and was intrigued that is designed to work with fire tv, I have an Insignia TV with fire tv built in for the smart tv aspect.I received the new soundbar plus in good time and setup was amazing. I made the necessary connection to hdmi connection and power to a surge protector ( hdmi cable is included). Tv was off/in standby mode and decided to turn on the soundbar, in approximately 30 seconds the soundbar announced, Amazon uses the Alexa voice which I thought was a cute touch, it was connected to the Insignia FireTV.I am very pleased with the whole process, used the included wall mount, since my TV is also wall mounted. Amazon includes a template for wall mounting. One thing I would like to point out is since most people will connect to TV they already have. Go into sound settings and delete any sound profiles and turn on TV speaker, remember I have a a firetv so things are automatically changed by the soundbar, other TV smart tv setup might/ will be different. If you have a TV with firetv built in setup is very easy, or so it was on my Insignia TV.Love the center speaker for voice enhancement this is really cool and has 5 settings. Sound quality needs to be adjusted for your liking. The included soundbar remote lets you handle all the settings without having to go into TV menu.Overall I am very pleased with my set up experience and the quality of the soundbar plus, I chose the soundbar without the subwoofer as I am not into rumbling low tones some movies output. Due to the complexity of hdmi there is bit of a lag with the sound being output to speakers, this is Not a flaw, it happens with all soundbar connected to arc/e arc.Amazon, you totally hit it out of the park with this whole setup, features, compatibility and quality of the Soundbar plus, thank you so much to all the engineers putting this together and ease of use.

Plug and Play: Hard Bass and Clear Treble
In a world where other TV sound bars can exceed $500 – $1,000+, the Amazon Fire TV Soundbar Plus exceeds my expectations for the price point. I own a Samsung smart TV and use the Fire Stick as the primary source of content, and the set up for the soundbar was very simply “plug and play” using the provided high speed HDMI cable. After tweaking a couple small settings to fit the room the TV is in, I’ve found that the bass is strong and deep, the treble comes through clearly, and dialogue can be heard nicely through both. The settings menu is simple and easy to use, as is the remote that is included with the bar was well. The soundbar itself has some solid weight to it and feels high quality for what it costs. My TV’s speakers were okay for what they are, but the sounds that comes through this product are on a different level. I can highly recommend this product for anyone not necessarily looking to spend the aforementioned $500 – $1,000+ on other brands bars and are looking for solid quality at a fair price point.

Wish the base bar had more bass!
Great sound for a reasonably priced soundbar (I purchased it on sale). It was easy to set up and synced quickly with my Fire TV device. However, the bass subwoofer lacks drive in the lower frequencies, and I really like strong bass. I wish I could purchase an additional subwoofer later, but Amazon only sells the soundbar and subwoofer as a combo. If I’d had a larger budget, I would have opted for the kit that includes the extra subwoofer.

Excellent soundbar — great value!
I decided to replace my aging LG 2.1 soundbar recently with a 2.0 or higher unit. Didn’t want a separate sub for space and “good neighbor” reasons as we recently had moved into a mid-sized garden apartment with an upstairs neighbor. We limited our budget to $200 after surveying the market, using Amazon and Best Buy websites. Our finalists consisted of three units, a JBL “5.0” and a Samsung 2.0, and this 2.0 unit. Our TV is a 4 year old Toshiba 50” Fire unit with HDMI ARC and digital outputs. The JBL unit eliminated itself by its really clunky small remote control (“press this button 3 times to adjust bass response” and “hold this button for 5 seconds to pair BT unit”). Pain in the butt to say the least. The unit had decent bass response but showed significant bass distortion and crackling at moderate volume levels. Occasionally it lost connection with the TV and we struggled to reconnect. Another pain in the butt. The Samsung unit does not have HDMI ARC connections so control features are not possible with TV remote using digital connectors. It proved hard to pair with BT and midrange (especially voice tones) were somewhat muffled at low volume levels. It was a pain to have two separate remote controls needed to customize our audio experience.(We had ordered all three for a side-by-side comparison. I am not a technophile so you won’t see a long technical conversation here.)The Amazon Fire unit is ideal for us! It was discovered by our Fire TV very quickly. We can control the bass and treble levels, surround sound, EQ and other audio features through the soundbar remote control. Volume is controlled by our TV remote. Audio controls plus DTS Tru-Volume and Audio Delay are also available on-screen in the settings menu of the TV. Sound is crisp and clear with a pleasant bass sound, with a hint of sub-bass notes (the “good neighbor” factor!)We love listening to music and playing it through the soundbar using the onscreen Spotify app is so easy that even my wife can do it! Plus any Bluetooth audio source pairs easily and sounds great as well.In conclusion we are very pleased with this soundbar unit and we highly recommend it. It’s not high powered and it probably won’t fill a large room or man cave with crushing sound, but it is perfect for us. Put Fire with Fire and you have a winner!

Preliminary use indicates the soundbar produces audio enhancement compared with a previously used Dolby Digital soundbar, when used with Dolby Atmos, Dolby TrueHD, Dolby 5.1 and DTS Master Audio 5.0. While the sound is not highly spatial due to my set up, it is richly detailed and powerful. The bass level is very adequate for a small space. Excellent for music playback, with excellent clarity to voices too. So far, very good indeed, thank you very much. Good value too, and easy to install.

This soundbar provides excellent, room-filling immersive sound. Voices are super clear, and the audio is crisp and well-balanced. Only complaint is that it takes up to 10 seconds or more sometimes to connect sound after turning the TV on – a minor irritant. Overall, an excellent subless option. Recommended!
