Great product for household maintenance
Great product! I have a ceiling that leaks when there are heavy winds and rain. I wanted to see if this would pick up the path of the leak. I think it’s coming from shotty siding on the outside above the Bay window. I have an older house (that is very well built) and felt I needed this product for preventative maintenance. (update: 19JULY2021, today we had very heavy rain and winds. The ceiling leaked overnight. I have ruled out the bay window and the outside siding. I now believe the leak is coming from a plumbing vent pipe and the wind is thrashing a damage roof boot and rain is leaking under the flashing and traveling down the pipe, because it puddles in the same area.)This product does everything I need it to do and more. If you have moisture build-up it’s going to cause a leak. This device can find moisture in the walls because, moisture holds on to heat longer and will show up along the electromagnetic spectrum (actual radiated heat!) at a different surface temp than the drier portions of wall/ceiling around it.The Pro version comes with a thermal sensor and a camera that simultaneously takes a photo of the visible light and then processes both thermal and image together making it (not technically, but functionally)1. High resolution (for at least 3m from what I’ve gathered so far)2. For the distance (at least 3m I’ve tested), it’s pretty much Hyper-spectral! Because of the spectral range comparing temperature variations. It’s a heat map. Everyone loves heat maps. The only thing better than this would be to Buy the FLIR Drone! Because why not? I don’t have the money, or I would have.NOTE: I did receive a used device. There were pictures loaded from April 2020. So it must have been a returned item. There was nothing wrong with the item, and I kept it. It is an expensive product, for what it is. Although extremely cool and valuable at times, it makes life easier, it’s limited to vague diagnosis. It’s never happened before through Amazon. So I thought I should mention it here.

High Quality and Perfect for Industrial Use
This one is for ANROID, iPhone product equivalent is here: https://amzn.to/4c1pdSAThe FLIR ONE Pro has exceeded my expectations in every way. This thermal imaging camera is of high quality and works great, especially in an industrial setting. I use it in my machining shop, and it has become an indispensable tool for detecting temperature variations and diagnosing issues with equipment. One of the standout features is its high resolution. The thermal images are clear and detailed, making it easy to pinpoint hot spots and other anomalies. This level of detail is crucial for industrial applications where precision matters.Setting it up was simple and straightforward. It connects easily to my Android smartphone via USB-C, and the accompanying app is user-friendly, offering a range of features and settings to customize the thermal imaging experience. Even if you’re not particularly tech-savvy, you’ll find it intuitive to use.Despite its advanced capabilities, the FLIR ONE Pro is compact and portable. I can easily carry it around the shop or take it on-site for inspections. The durability of the device is also impressive, which is essential in a demanding industrial environment.Overall, this thermal imaging camera is worth every penny. It’s a high-quality, reliable tool that delivers accurate results, making it ideal for industrial use. Whether you’re in a machining shop or any other field requiring precise thermal imaging, the FLIR ONE Pro is highly recommended.

Great camera but visible light photos do not automatically download.
I really liked this camera for temperature measurements and shots. It worked great on my RV solar/battery system (cables, fuses, connections, etc.) and tracking insulation (heat loss, heat gain). It also works great for thermal based scenery (hot springs, engines, animals). The battery is a little short lived (about an hour) but that is not bad if you are aware of it.They should allow an option to save the “DC” (Direct Camera?) visible light picture at the same time you save the IR picture (maybe same name with a “_DC” extension). As it is, you have to go back, save each visible light photo one at a time and rename them. At least that was the only way the guy at the help desk knew how to do it.In the pics I loaded the IR pic of a geyser at Yellowstone and the visible pic taken by the FLIR software at the same time.

Gr.

I had used an earlier model of a FLIR IR camera for a few years, the image quality was too poor to identify hot components clearly on an SMD PCB. With the improved resolution and the superimposed edge enhancement this camera produces much better images, and is exactly what I needed. Well worth it for me.
