Perfect for elderly neighbors
Recently my legally blind, elderly neighbor came to my house to see if I had power. I asked why she didn’t just call and I found out that she has, only, a landline and that it is a cordless phone that does not work when there is no power. I had to get something for her in case of an emergency. This was inexpensive and solved a serious problem to give me peace of mind for them!

Very helpful
Purchased for my elderly parents who were having an issue with their cordless phones. Somehow they kept muting them and couldn’t figure how to unmute them. Plugged this in to the wall jack and now they can see the numbers and can use the speaker if needed and can see and read the buttons. It’s a relief to know in an emergency this phone works!

good for seniors, big numbers, store frequently called numbers – fyi when storing numbers use 1-before 10 digit number instructions doesn’t say that though phone was defective

Phone worked great upon receipt
Phone worked great upon receipt, however one day it just stopped working (after 30 days). No dial tone, no more incoming calls. It’s unfortunate this happened after the 30 day period as there is no way for me to get a replacement or refund. I am also unable to contact the seller as well, as when I have tried I get a notice popping up saying, unable to contact Blue Donuts at this time. We can do nothing more with it but keep trying to plug it in and hope it starts working again.For what it’s worth, it looks and worked great when it was working. No explanation on why it just stopped one day, we tried everything to get it going again. If you do purchase this be advised that it comes in a plain unmarked box with NO product information. I had no idea I had the phone until a week later because I had been looking for a box with the product information or a picture printed on the box. Silly me.

Easy to use,
Got this for my mom. She is able to use this so much easier than a cell phone with its tiny buttons. I put all her closest contacts in the predial buttons for her and she is staying in touch better with family. Loud ringer so she can hear the phone even without her hearing aids in.

I got this one of one of my elderly clients. He loves he could see it and basically knows how to use it at 90 years old. The only problem is he was looking for a voice message system to attached to it because he does not remember to get to the phone in a timely manner.

Misleading ad
The ad clearly states it has volume control HI/LO for both speaker and ringer. It even states in two places the speaker has volume control. It does not. It only has volume control for the ringer. Having said that, the volume on the speaker is plenty loud. Voice quality on the handset is OK, not as good on the speaker. If you want better speaker quality you should consider an AC powered phone. This one is powered solely from the phone wire. Ultimately, you get what you pay for and this is not a bad phone for the price.
