Reliable Multi-Handset System with Clear Calls and Easy SetupThis VTech CS6529-4 cordless phone set has been a very practical addition to our home. The four handsets give us coverage in multiple rooms, so no one is running to answer calls anymore. Setup was straightforward—just plug in the base and charging docks, and the phones were ready to go.The call clarity has been excellent, with no static or dropped calls so far. The DECT 6.0 technology really does help keep the line crisp, even with Wi-Fi and other electronics in the house. The answering system is simple but effective, and the caller ID/call waiting features work just as expected. I also like the backlit screens and keypads, which make it easy to use in the evening without straining.One thing to note: these handsets are lightweight, which is nice for handling, but they don’t feel as solid as some higher-end models. The menus take a little practice to navigate, but once you’re used to them, they’re intuitive enough.Bottom line: A dependable, easy-to-use multi-handset phone system that covers the basics very well—perfect for households needing multiple handsets and clear, reliable performance.

Phenomenal Phones
Beautiful, deep rich red color, smooth lines, and easy to use. The screen is clear and the buttons are just the right size. I had no problems with functionality, and it worked excellently with my landline. The phones work well together, offering clear and concise clarity. I’ve since discontinued having a land line, but I’ve kept these phones in case I decide to return to using one. These phones are top notch.

Works good as a phone only. Too man options when attempting to delete a caller ID numbers. The phone almost puts the user in caller number edit mode rather than the delete mode. An irritating waste of time. The screen is small, dim and hard to view from more than a few feet.

OK phone. No match VTECHs excellent 2431 GIGAPHONE.
This phone replaces two VTECH 2431 2.4Ghz GIGAPHONES that I’ve had for over 21 years and really loved. One phone developed an issue with the keypad (buttons were becoming hard to press) but still worked. The other started developed an issue with static on the line so I thought it would be a good time to replace them…and this was the closest match. Unfortunately, the excellent 2431 is no longer available. I like the reliability, voice quality, range, and features of VTECH phones. However, thisphone is only OK and definitely no match for the 2431. There are a few features I don’t like. First, as a few others have mentioned, this phone does not have the MESSAGE WAITING LED of the older 2431. This was a blinking green LED on the top of the phone to indicate that you had new voicemail. You could simply glance at the phone, even from across the room, to tell that a message was waiting. The LED was also duplicated on the base station. For this phone, the only way to tell if there is a new message is to lift the phone off of the cradle to light up the display and look for the VM envelope icon. Not very user friendly. The second thing that bothers me is that there is an annoying bright RED LED on the front of the phone to indicate that the phone is in it’s cradle and charging. The phone sits on mydesk and this LED really bothers me. It’s too bright. Would prefer if VTECH changed this LED back to a green MESSAGE WAITING LED. That would be a more useful feature. Perhaps move the CHARGE LED to the base instead. This is being picky, but I’m also not too crazy about the ring tones. I prefer the tones on the 2431. Also, the 2431 base was a full featured speakerphone that included a keypad and duplicated the buttons on the handset and included LEDs for MESSAGE WAITING, POWER, LINE IN USE, and HANDSET CHARGING. Even without the handset, you could make calls from the base station as well as use the base as an intercom. For this phone, the base simply has a “find handset” button and LINE IN USE LED, no speaker phone feature. The speaker phone feature is only available on the handset. Although it looks like the base speakerphone features are available in more expensive models.

It’s ok. Takes up very little space, but the ringer is very low and cannot be increased. Otherwise it’s fine.

I have no idea about battery life but VTech is usually good quality so I have faith it will last…phone and answering machine work very well, sound is good/clear, volume adjustable, easy to use but different from other device so just need to get use to it. Light weight and slender…not disappointed, arrived quickly…great price
