    Interesting Blend for Protein Lovers
THE VEGAN Plant Based Protein Powder (Chocolate) – Reviewed December 2025I decided to venture into the world of THE VEGAN Plant Based Protein Powder (Chocolate) for my daily protein needs, and it’s been quite an experience! The first thing you’ll notice is that the packaging seems to assume you’re multilingual. I couldn’t quite decipher the instructions as they were in an Asian language, possibly Chinese, but with some research and the aid of their website, I managed to make sense of it. The 25-gauge scoop provided is perfect, matching the serving size claims, which isn’t always the case with protein powders.Making it as a hot beverage was a bit of a trial for me. The powder didn’t completely dissolve, leaving a thick consistency that wasn’t quite to my liking when mixed with hot water. I found that blending it cold or adding it as a creamer to my coffee works much better, giving it a smoother texture without overwhelming thickness as I’m using a much lower concentration of powder to liquid. On the plus side, it doesn’t curdle when mixed with hot water from a dispenser. I appreciate the added vitamins and low natural sugar, but the initial mix as a standalone drink wasn’t as smooth as I hoped. The taste doesn’t entirely mimic chocolate milk, but with a bit of tweaking, it holds potential in various blends! Why Not 5 Stars? The issues with the instruction language and the initial texture of the drink (when not adequately stirred) hold it back from a 5-star rating. While it’s versatile with some adjustment, these initial hurdles made it slightly less enjoyable.

Creamy chocolatey taste, goes well with soy milk
I tried this powder being a vegan and I was very happy with the results. Mixes easily in a shaker cup. I mixed 40 g with one cup of soy milk and found it tasty. Creamy, chocolatey and mildly sweet as well. I diluted it a bit further adding another cup of water and still found it a bit too watery. I would recommend one cup of soy milk per serving for best taste and texture. Overall, I would recommend this to anyone looking for a cruelty free plant based protein powder that is very tasty as well. Also, for the caffeine sensitive, the Cacao gives the powder a small 12 mg of caffeine per serving. By comparison a cup of tea has 50 mg, coffee cup has 100 mg.A note to manufacturer: the label states the serving size is “one cup”. This is a misprint. It should say ” one scoop ” to not confuse consumers measuring by volume and not weight.

    First timer
This is my first time trying out a protein powder and the vegan version even. I have to say that though the chocolate flavor is good, the taste still screams I’m a soy protein that leaves a little of bitterness and odd aftertaste, I do drink soymilk and eat a lot of tofu so it’s not the soy taste that is a bit off for me.that said I think as a first timer this will require a lot of getting used to and honestly not looking forward to it. I think I will try to add it on oat meal instead of drinking. As for easiness to dissolve, if I use cold liquid it will take a lot of mixing manually to have it in a consistency that is drinkable to me, still have a gritty texture even after mixing, guess this will require a mixer or some kind and unfortunately I don’t have it.Quality wise, this is very good and I appreciate all the health benefits

    Needs a bit of work
I am kinda torn on this one.First off, the ingredient list is unnecessarily long. I’ve had vegan protein powders with far fewer ingredients that still tasted far better than this one, so I’m not sure why so many fillers are needed here. I’m not referring to the vitamins or probiotics, those are fine, but rather the extra additives. The inclusion of Hydrogenated Palm Kernel Oil is especially disappointing, whether partially or fully hydrogenated.I’d normally appreciate the added lactic acid bacteria (probiotics), but they’re overshadowed by several ingredients known to negatively impact gut health, like sucralose, maltodextrin, and the hydrogenated palm kernel oil mentioned earlier. It feels like one step forward, two steps back. Because of that, the claim of having a “simple clean formula” is confusing. This is anything but simple. Adding a multivitamin doesn’t cancel out all the questionable ingredients.Flavor-wise, it’s just okay. Not great, not terrible—very middle of the road. The price is another sticking point. At $49.98 for 2.2 lbs (about $1.55 per ounce at the time of my review), it’s definitely on the more expensive side. Once a protein powder crosses the $1-per-ounce mark, I expect a more premium formulation. Unfortunately, the ingredient list doesn’t support that.Overall, it’s not the worst protein powder out there, but it’s definitely not the best. I think it needs some refinement before it can justify the price tag.

yummy and good for your muscles
I’m not vegan and when it comes to protein powder I care about only one thing: protein content vs calories. This protein powder isn’t as good as whey (which you can usually find with 2g protein per 10 calories) but isn’t bad either (almost 1.5g protein per 10 calories)The taste is pretty good and it mixes super smooth in my blender. Price is a bit high but I’ve found many of the vegan options to cost a bit more so I’m not judging that, just flavor and quality which both seem good. I suggest mixing with fruit for added flavor and texture.
