Does its job, well worth its price
Need this when I set up a laptop computer under the open hood of my show car, displaying a looping Playlist of relevant videos. Easy to set up, & take down at the shows end. Always like the quality of Kensington products. A little more expensive compared to other brands, but worth it – IMHO.

Good within limits
Using this to secure a laptop in a dorm-room. Easy to use (just loop it around something fairly immovable), easy to reset the combination. The only caveat I would give is that given enough time, someone can brute-force the combination. I came back to campus from a weekend away to see that the code on the wheels was not where I had left it. I had happened to notice the exact numbers it was on when I left after removing it from the laptop and spinning them, when I came back it was exactly one number off from the right combination on every wheel. I assume that my room-mate or someone he let in had brute-forced it, possibly with the intent of stealing my laptop later (I changed the code and got a new room-mate).Since a 4 number combo is inherently weak and I knew that when I bought it, I am not dinging points for it. Just be aware that this is not a foolproof protection device, any serious thief will cut the cable with bolt cutters and work out the combination at their leisure. It will prevent casual/impulsive thefts, as designed.

Defective, Company Doesn’t Care
This product was purchased to secure a Playstation 5 in a college dorm room. The device attached securely and seemed fine. However, when the device needed to be removed it would not unlock. The combination was correct but no matter what was done the button would not press in to unlock the device. Due to the need to make a long drive a pair of bolt cutters was purchased to cut the cable and the lock was removed by using a pair of vice grips to push the button in with great pressure. There was slight damage to the security port on the Playstation 5 due to the lock not fully releasing.Kensington support was contacted later and they denied a refund as I damaged the product. Well, I had no choice but to damage the lock to remove it. Definitely not purchasing a replacement or any other products from Kensington.

Daily unlocking would be inconvenient
In most cases laptop computers are stolen when they are easy to grab. This obvious cable lock will send the average thief looking for something easier to grab and run with. Any thief who is determined to steal your laptop could bring a pair of bolt cutters. Resetting the combination was easy enough. The lock works fine. There is one problem with the design of this lock. The cable rotates but the lock does not. This means the window for the combination only points directly to the front or back at table level. Any adjacent computer cables have to be unplugged and the laptop has to be picked up in order to see the numbers. If I turn the combination to face front, the button to release the lock ends up on the bottom. This cable lock would be much easier to use if the combination and release button could rotate with the cable. If you set it and rarely take your laptop home, it works fine. Daily unlocking seems inconvenient to the point I would soon stop using the lock.

Must have for traveling laptops!
The Kensington Combo lock is easy to set and use and there is no key to loose. It will secure your laptop for those times when your on the road. It seems more secure than the models with the key lock. If you search YouTube for picking a Kensington Lock you will see the keyed model appears to be able to be defeated in about 30 seconds, though not sure if it really matters since there is probably a way to defeat this model as well. The biggest thing is its a deterant and will require some effort on the part of the thief.

Excelente produto. Qualidade incomum.

It fitted my older X1 carbon series Gen 7 but not my Gen 10. Disappointed as I bought this for my Gen 10.
