Very nice quality wireless mic with some caveats
I work from home and have lots of meetings. I’m also an avid PC gamer, so it’s important that I sound like myself but also very clear when I use a mic. I prefer not to use a headset mic because I think it makes me look unprofessional on camera or like a generic customer service rep. I’ve been using the HyperX SoloCast for the longest time and although it worked great, I decided it was time for an upgrade.I was initially intrigued by the wireless capabilities of this MAONO PD100WS. As you can see in the picture, I like to have a clean, minimalistic desk with no wires for my keyboard and mouse, so I really liked that this mic was wireless too. At first I was a bit skeptical since I have a lot of other wireless devices, so I was worried that there might be some interference, but after some testing, everything sounds great. They also provide a long USB-C cable in case I ever decide to go wired.Which is probably what I will end up doing, because there is no telling how much battery life is left on the mic and I can’t figure out to turn this mic off. I went to MAONO’s website but it looks like this PD100WS model doesn’t even exist. I tried downloading the software for the PD100X, since it was the closest resembling model, but it first asks to connect the mic via the USB-C cable before I can do anything, so that didn’t work. To turn the mic off, I tried holding the primary button in the middle for up to 10 seconds, but nothing happened. I tried clicking the button a few times but all that did was change the RGB colors (which I don’t really care for btw).Another thing that kind of disappointed me was the top part of the arm where you screw in the mic. It’s a 2-piece design, where one end screws onto the little adapter and the other end is where you screw on the mic. I initially screwed it down super tight, but in hindsight, I’m worried I might have trouble removing the adapter later. Still, not a big deal since it’s stuck on there pretty good and I don’t plan to ever remove it.The only reason I may want to remove it is if they provided a desk stand too but unfortunately, they don’t. My HyperX SoloCast is mainly used as a desk mic, so I’m used to that and was really hoping they might include one as a backup. Regardless, I’m happy with the arm and how sturdy it is at full extension. As you can see in the pictures, I installed it in a very unique position under my desk- this way I can pull it out and up when in use and then down and back away once I’m done.Now, onto the real important piece- the audio quality. I don’t really have much to compare with, since I’ve only used the HyperX mic. But even when compared to that, the MAONO mic sounds waaaaaaay better. It has a clean, deep, and crisp audio delivery. I didn’t even have to use OBS studio and it sounded very professional imo.I’m very impressed with the quality of this mic- both the build and audio. The only things I don’t like are how there is no supporting software and therefore, no way to tell how much battery life is left. I can easily just use the included cable to connect it so that it’s always charged, but seeing that they are promoting this mic as a wireless, I’d prefer not to. Hopefully MAONO adds support for this mic soon.

This Mic Is Mindblowingly Awesome 10/10
This mic rocks! A while back I saw a “wireless” mic and was so excited to get it only to find out that the mic itself had to be plugged into an outlet to get power… not cool, and not this one. This microphone is truly wireless! Well, if you want it to be, you do of course have the option to run it with a USB cable but I don’t know that I ever would after feeling the complete freedom you have to just move around with it. You can connect it to any device you want… well, excpet Xbox… don’t know how they haven’t gotten with the times yet and made external microphones work for their platform… kind of lame if you ask me lol. Anyway, running this to any device with a USB cable, or by plugging in the provided dongle gives you instant connection and awesome quality. Speaking of quality I am a big fan of almost everything MAONO does, they have put out a cheap microphone once or twice but when I say this is anything but cheap I mean it. The quality of the build is amazing and the quality of the audio is crisp and perfect. Minor tweaking is always necessary in a professional setting but you really don’t have to do much aside from eliminating background noise to sound great through this microphone. It captures highs, mids, and lows very well and it might actually be one of the best sounding USB mics I have ever used; spoiler alert I have used a ton of mics lol. I am blown away by how awesome this is and how great it sounds, MAONO is definitely leading the way with this wireless mic.If I could give this ten stars I would.Battery life is fantastic, I used it for 10 hours without it dying and was surprised and then I saw that the battery life is 40 hours… if you stream, podcast, whatever lol, for 40 hours please call me because you are a legend.Test the range by recording and walking around my house and the only place I had connection issues was in the dungeon surrounded by all the torture devices… just kidding I don’t have one of those and I didn’t have any connection issues. It worked all throughout the house.Also the AI button on the bottom is for noise cancellation and holy crap does that work insanely well. I have an air purifier running, and my PC fans going, which the microphone picks up but when I press that button it completely removes the background noise without any effect on the vocals. It is wild.Seriously, this mic is incredible and shout out to MAONA for making it.Keep elevating and creating!

La verdad que la presentación del producto es bastante premium.- Cantidad (Unidades sin contar accesorios): 1 unidad/micrófono- Accesorios: 1x brazo ajustable en color negro, 1x cable de carga USB-C a USB-C con adaptador USB-A, 1x adaptador inalámbrico con conexión USB-A, 1x adaptador/cable USB-C a USB-C con adaptador a USB-A corto para portátiles que no tengan entrada USB-C.- Viene con manual/instrucciones: Si (varios idiomas incluido el Español)- Requiere montaje (Si/No): Si hay que colocar el brazo y conectar el micrófono aunque el proceso es de lo mas sencillo y viene muy bien explicado paso por paso.- Precio actual (en el momento de publicar esta reseña):Actualmente no esta disponible (89.99€ cuando yo lo pedí)- Colores disponibles: Negro- Vale su precio (Si/No): Absolutamente, para mi es un producto excelente siendo inalámbrico con buena calidad de audio y un acabado muy por encima de muchos otros.- Valoración final: 5 estrellasConclusión y comentarios adicionales:No conocía la marca hasta este momento pero me llamaba la atención el conjunto del brazo con el micrófono inalámbrico RGB a este precio y por ello lo pedí. Hay que decir que todo tiene un acabado mucho mejor de lo que esperaba, el brazo se ve solido y se ajusta sin mayor dificultad y se mantiene en su sitio. El micrófono al ser inalámbrico tiene una batería interna que se carga mediante un cable USB-C a USB-A (proporcionado) que dura varios días sin necesidad de cargar (40 horas indicado por el fabricante) que si puede ser realista.Este modelo no trae el soporte/base para ponerlo de pie en la mesa, existe otro modelo de Maono pero no he encontrado la base como producto individual. Lo digo para que se tenga en cuenta, este kit viene solamente con el brazo que se ancla a la mesa aunque no descartaría que se pueda usar soportes de otros fabricantes.El software es simple pero mas que suficiente para configurar o manejar todos los aspectos del micrófono como por ejemplo definir el color RGB o silenciar el micrófono sin necesidad de usar los botones físicos que tiene. Lo que no he encontrado es la forma de cambiar el idioma del programa (solo esta en ingles).

Microfono veramente eccezionale!Penso sia un’ottima alternativa alle marche più blasonate (e quindi costose), sia perchè esteticamente è molto ben fatto e quindi da un’aria di professionalità anche se non è professionale (nei casi di chi fa streaming o podcast ecc..) e sia per la qualità audio, con cancellazione del rumore ottima.E’ anche wireless quindi è molto comodo e pratico ma volendo c’è anche la possibilità di utilizzare il cavo. Per me ovviamente è più comodo wireless per non avere ulteriori fili ingombranti, basta staccarlo e ricaricarlo ed il braccio tenerlo sempre fisso (tanto è retraibile).Un altro punto di forza è che è molto leggero però al tempo stesso i materiali da costruzione mi sembrano veramente robusti e di qualità, quindi la leggerezza non è dovuta ad una scarsità del materiale!C’è il suo software che è molto semplice ed intuitivo, dove si possono regolare varie impostazioni audio molto basilari e comandare la luce argb che c’è sui bordi che fa veramente la sua figura.Io sono rimasto molto soddisfatto e lo consiglio vivamente a chi vuole attrezzarsi per fare streaming ma anche solo a chi vuole usarlo per comunicare in giochi online ma anche per lavoro!
