I have a chrome cast device at home, and I purchased this thinking it would work similarly and for a lower price. Unfortunately this did not work the same. I have an iPhone and tried “casting” from my YouTube and Prime Video Apps. If you try YouTube it will cast the video thumbnail and play audio, but the actual video plays only on my phone. On Prime no casting device was found, and airplay was unavailable. You have to go to the control center on your phone and choose to mirror your whole phone screen. The play back lags at times on YouTube, on Prime video a lot of the content is not permitted to be mirrored, and who wants to watch something with people and suddenly your text messages and notifications pop up on the tv. It also ties up your phone so you can’t use it and watch something at once without disrupting the video. The chrome cast I have allows you to cast from every app, and you can still use your phone to look up the next video or answer a text without everyone seeing your phone screen activity so I’m just going to get another chrome cast. I’m sure this is fine if you’re just trying to put your phone screen up to share something, but there are better products out there.

Works great for casting from my phone to my TV as I do not have a smart TV. Video quality is great. No remote with it, as you use your phone. No connectivity issues. Speed is great too.

To many glitches. If returning it wasn’t so inconvenient then best believe i would have. However if it didn’t glitch all the time it would be great because certain free movie websites that won’t work on Chromecast do however work with this.

Have to reprogram every time I turn on the TV
My TV doesn’t keep the USB port energized, so every time I shut the TV off, this loses power, loses the wifi password and I have to start all over again… basically makes this un-useable JUNK!

Very hard to set up if your not some what tech savvy, THIS ITEM WILL NOT CAST TO A TV LIKE A GOOGLE CAST, it only mirrors, which means if your on your phone, it shows your phone in a very narrow window, and you scrolling through it. Tried Netflix, as it was playing in my phone in real time, this thing just showed a spinning wheel on the TV. DONT BUY, You’ve been warned.
