I recently bought the SanDisk 2TB Extreme PRO Portable SSD, and it’s been a total workhorse for my on-the-go storage needs! The read and write speeds—up to 2000MB/s—are blazing fast, making it a breeze to transfer huge video files or back up my photo library in no time. Fast and dependable.
This product is great for multiple reasons: the storage capacity is decent, but the connectivity is amazing. The portability is always a plus, but the fact that it hasn’t heated up despite the file transfers we’ve run makes this a great buy and value for the money.

Fast! Quality cables are important
I can’t wait for spinning hard drives any more; they’re too slow. I still use some for redundant backups, but updating them takes forever. These drives seem to come with quality cables that give good speed. I also have some purpose-built Firewire 4 cables that are probably a little faster. I don’t have the software to measure read/write speeds but they’re definitely not slow. I have several of these drives, ranging from 1-4 TB and so far, zero problems!

Great drive, hard to find a case to carry in
Great and fast drive. But is much bigger than the other Sandisk extreme models and cannot find a carry case for it.

It’s just super fast. Never had backups with Macrium Reflect go so quickly.Gets a bit warm, but not hot.Using it with a Thunderbolt port on Lenovo X1 laptop running Windows 11 Pro.

Great Product but should include a carrying case
Great backup solid state drive. Wish it was less expensive, but I will pay the cost for the reliability that ScanDisk always provides. I am photo artist and several years ago I lost an entire years worth of work due to a hard drive failure. That was a painful lesson that I will not repeat. The product is built well, and functions as advertised. I love its size, only downside is it does not come with its own case, given the price you pay, a portable case is not too hard an ask.

Fast and Reliable Performance
The SanDisk 2TB Extreme PRO Portable SSD with USB4 is a fast SSD drive. Outside of the price point being on the high side, if you need something fast for graphics, gaming, or backup, this drive is great. The SanDisk brand overall is at the top of the list for external SSDs. The SanDisk 2TB Extreme PRO Portable SSD is worth the money if you are looking for reliability and performance.
