Good home or car first aid kit with some minor survival items at a fantastic price
This is a large, heavily filled first aid and survival kit. This would be the kit I’d buy if I led a kids’ scout troop. However, I would apply the term survival very loosely. This is a great bag for day hikes, to keep in the car to render minor aid, and help with short periods of mildly poor weather conditions. What it does contain for survival are items such as a compass and whistle, there’s nothing in it useful for starting a fire, disinfecting drinking water or having useful light beyond two bright glow sticks.Areas of concern:- There are no OTC ingestables of any kind such as glucose, aspirin, or antihistamines- the two instant ice packs look to me to be in constant danger of accidental activation because the kit is so heavily crammed full and extremely tight when closed-the small compass comes packed with a heavy stainless steel credit card sized multi tool — remember when using the compass to keep it far from the tool as its magnetism renders the compass useless.Areas of usefulness:-Large amounts of wound cleaning/bandaging items including stretch wraps in various sizes and materials and copious amounts and sizes of individually wrapped wound bandages- a long, flat rubber tourniquetPersonal changes I’ll be making:- removal of some the unnecessarily large number of bandages to be replaced by small external USB power packs and cables, (one of which also contains extremely bright LED lights)- placing the carry strap on the bag to relieve pressure from the ice bags- adding various OTC pain relieving packets and ditching the tongue depressors altogether- filling the daily pill container with my meds but also keepinga a list of each medication, how to identify it, the dosage and what it’s for and an inventory of the kit’s contents.Areas of surprise:- An abdominal bandage meant for serious wounds and heavy bleeding- a forehead strip thermometer and cooling packs to bring down Temps- large, precise, blunt-end tweezers- CPR mouth guardsAll in all a useful first aid kit for day trips on land, to keep at home and in the car but not to be relied on alone for long periods of difficulty,Please see photos for a comprehensive look at the kits contents as it arrives. The price is outstanding fora kit this size.

Good value, good quality, well thought out set in a nice bag.
This is a good value for a very comprehensive, well thought out portable first aid kit with a good variety of items included in a nice carrying bag. There are 516 total items in the set. You’ll want to refer closely to the listing pictures and charts to see what all is included. There is so much included in the set that it’s easier to follow what is included if you look at a chart or picture with the items and quantities.I saved and printed out the listing picture with that chart and put it in the bag for reference. I highly suggest doing this. The reason is that there are so many items in the bag. They put a lot of items in a relatively small space, the bag is very, very full. They did label some areas and that helps. But figuring out and remembering all the items in the set is going to be easier if you have a print out. It will make it easier to see what’s in the set and help find it.This is a good kit for home, camping, hiking, emergency preparedness, travel, work, school or to leave in a vehicle for emergencies. Personally it’s my emergency to go first aid kit.Note that the bag with all the items in the set is fairly large and fairly heavy.Bag weight including the first aid set inside the bag: 4.3 pounds (the bag and all the items in the bag as it is when you get it)Bag Size:-Width: 9.8”-Depth: 4.7”-Height: 4.7”The bag is very good quality, nice and well made of 1680 D polyester. You can rearrange the set and remove items, add items and customize the set in the bag. The bag is bright red and is clearly labeled as a first aid bag and has reflective strips. The bag is rated to be waterproof. It has a full zipper closure. The bag has a lot of compartments on the inside and outside and it utilizes the space well. Some areas are labeled inside the bag for the type of issue or supplies in the section. The bag has a top carrying hand strap and a detachable shoulder strap. There is a strap around the front to attach the bag to another bag or your waist. It can be worn as a waist bag if you adjust it, but it is fairly heavy. The bag has elastic mollee straps on the outside to attach items to the bag or the bag to other items (such as a vehicle headrest or backpack). There is an ID card pocket (no ID card or ID card blank) on the front of the bag.A small emergency care first aid booklet is included in the kit. What you can use this kit for and what’s included:-minor scrapes, wounds and cuts (cleansing, covering with bandages, bandaids)-burns (cold pack, cleansing, burn care topical, bandages and bandaids)-blisters (cleansing, bandages and moleskin covers)-removing splinters, insect stingers and ticks (tweezers, wound care and bandaids)-minor insect stings and bites (tweezers, sting relief wipes, cleansing, bandaids)-checking fever and cooling (thermometer, cooling fever patch)-minor finger or toe sprain (finger splint, tape, bandages)-eye washing with eye wash-minor sprains (ankle, wrist, knee) (elastic bandages)There is some personal protection included with a CPR mask cover, disposable gloves, face masks. Trauma sheer scissors are also included to help remove clothing or open it up when there is an injury. One thing to note is that the kit includes a tourniquet. A tourniquet should not be used by someone untrained in where to place it and how to use it, except as a last resort in extreme circumstances. There can be serious consequences and loss of life and or limb if a tourniquet is used or placed improperly. You’ll want to educate yourself about this before even considering using it. I would try to avoid using it and wait for professional help if at all possible. Some items that are not in this kit that you may want to note or add. Or you could attach them to a bag or pouch to this kit.Not included in the kit:-Ambi bag and face mask for ventilation (the kit does have a CPR face shield)-No medications of any sort that are taken by mouth. I’d suggest having Tylenol, Aspirin, Imodium and Benadryl in a kit, I have all of those in my kits. They do include an empty 7 day medication holder that you can put your own medication in.-No topical antibiotic or wound care creams.-No skin staples, skin sutures or skin glue. There is a survival emergency part of the kit that can be used for emergencies.Included:-Thermal blanket (for cold, or to put over an injured person to prevent cold or shock or to protect from rain)-Emergency rain poncho-Compass-Metal Whistle-Glow stick-Marker pen (to leave notes, can also be used to draw a margin on wound edges and bug bites to monitor swelling and spread)
