Lightweight phone with large raised keys.
Bought this for 91-year old man who has low vision. While he cannot see the keys, he can feel the raised keys. Good to have a memory 1 and 2 key for important numbers like his wife’s phone. The SOS button on the backside is good in concept, but he has accidentally pressed it without knowing he pressed it and sent erroneous SOS alerts. However, it is easy to disable the SOS button from sending erroneous alerts. Volume of the speaker is sufficiently loud. The Verizon store guy who was setting up this phone said it is a good phone and wished they had it in their store. For all that the phone offers, it is priced well. The phone is very lightweight.

Great phone for a senior
This is perfect for my 86 year old mother with Parkinson’s. The buttons are big enough for her to see and push. Very light weight as well. The cradle makes it possible for her to charge as well. Great phone for a senior who has someone to set up the contacts.

This phone did not work at all. I thought maybe it just needed a full charge to turn on but it came to me with no charge and it did take a long time for full charge but it doesn’t turn on, it doesn’t turn on low charge, it does not turn on with full charge. It’s a very cheap phone to begin with, but I am just very upset with Amazon for selling me something that was not brand new and does not work. My dad’s landline is being turned off tomorrow and while I do live with him, we have no phone for him to call me or anyone else. Thanks Amazon for treating a 94 year old us veteran this way.

Feels a bit cheap compared to my other flip-phone version from this same company.
I’ve been using another phone from this company, the ‘flip phone’ version, for about 6 months now. This phone here is bigger but it weighs less than my flip phone version, and it feels a bit cheap. On a positive note, I was able to put my Tello SIM card into it and it activated within about 5 seconds, so that was nice.The phone is bigger than the flip phone, and the buttons are bigger, so for some people this phone might be a decent option, it’s just that it feels a bit cheap and I’m worried that a drop would break it. For the current $60 price it’s probably about as good as you can get for a cheap ‘Dumb Phone’, but I prefer the flip phone version as it is heavier and tougher and fits into my pocket better.Another complaint I have is that this phone, just like my other one, allows you to take pictures but there doesn’t seem to be a way to actually transfer those pictures anywhere, so they just live on the phone. I tried to see if I could send them somewhere like with an email and I also tried to plug a USB cable into the phone from my computer and it wasn’t able to open up any folder on the phone to get to the pictures to copy over… My flip phone is the same way, so I don’t really know what the point of taking pictures would be if they can only be viewed on the phone…Because of the ‘cheapness’ of the phone, the issue with the pictures, and also because the way you have to open the phone up to put the SIM card and battery in is VERY annoying, I had to go with just 3 Stars. (The case opens up and you’re supposed to use your fingernails to do it, as shown in their instructions, but I was unable to do that because I don’t have long fingernails and the hole is so small so I am forced to use some sort of ‘tool’ like part of my fingernail clippers, and just like on my other Artphone it inevitably makes a mark/scratch on the phone when doing so. This also annoys me! Oh, another complaint I’d mention is that the phone doesn’t sit into the charging base very tightly and one small nudge and it almost falls out–my flip phone version of this Artphone sits in the charging base better. The phone, along with the instructions and software, are obviously made in another non-English speaking country and could be improved…For example, when I unplug the phone from the charger it says on the screen: “Charger is pluged out.” (Plugged spelled exactly like I put it…)

➡️J’ai acheté le Artfone A400 Pro 4G pour un membre de ma famille âgé, et il remplit très bien son rôle. Le téléphone est très facile à utiliser, avec de grandes touches bien visibles et un écran lisible. La qualité du son est claire, ce qui est important pour les personnes ayant une audition un peu faible.🔔La compatibilité 4G est un vrai plus : les appels sont plus nets et le téléphone capte bien le réseau. La base de recharge est aussi très pratique : il suffit de poser le téléphone dessus, pas besoin de brancher un câble.🔵Le bouton SOS est bien pensé : il permet d’appeler automatiquement plusieurs numéros en cas d’urgence, ce qui rassure vraiment.🔴Seul bémol : le téléphone est un très épais et le menu pourrait être un peu plus moderne….Du coup la personne âgé a préféré le retourner pour passer sur un clapet.🟩En résumé, pour moi…c’est un excellent téléphone pour seniors, fiable, simple et bien conçu.

Acquistato per mia madre novantenne che, inutile dirlo, sente molto poco. Ero un po’ scettica perché esperienze positive coi cellulari per anziani non ne ho mai avute, tutti promettono cose egregie ma nessuno poi le mantiene, un pò come i nostri politici. Arrivato in 24 ore il cell. in questione si è rivelato una grande sorpresa sia per il volume della suoneria, sia per il volume di ascolto, cosa ancor più importante e che nelle altre recensioni nessuno menziona. L’apparecchio è dotato anche di vivavoce, altra cosa importante per un anziano e anche questa mai menzionata nelle recensioni, il suono in tutti e tre i casi risulta molto alto e nitido tant’è vero che mia madre ha ripreso il gusto di parlare al telefono ora che può sostenere una conversazione. Chiamate rapide, tasto S.O.S.( contiene più numeri programmabili) sono le altre importanti caratteristiche di cui ha bisogno un anziano per il resto il menù, facile nell’utilizzo, è banale e comune a tutti gli smartphone anche se il libretto istruzioni non risulta completo. Poche le suonerie presenti ma si possono aggiungere dal menù in formato file. Appena testata la batteria vi informerò circa la durata. Abbastanza comodo il basamento, un po’ cortino il filo, ma bisogna appoggiare bene il cell. altrimenti non parte la ricarica, questa è l’unica pecca, ma si può comunque ricaricare solo col filo. Buona la presa antiscivolo e dimensione giusta con tasti grossi e supporto vocale (volume regolabile) ad ogni pressione degli stessi. Finalmente un cellulare per anziani dignitoso!! Imballaggio ok. Consigliato anche il venditore attento e disponibile.
