USB-C External Display Connectivity, IR Camera, and Backlit Keyboard, and Great Performance!
This is a great laptop at the right price. I purchased it for the backlit keyboard, IR camera, and ability to connect an external display via USB-C. Everything worked flawlessly, and I couldn’t be more pleased. It is also super fast!

Long battery life. Good form factor. I know I am in a shrinking minority, but modern the modern windows OS is spyware that harvests the entirety of your digital life and butchers it up for sale (default use of OneDrive – required activation).To avoid that, I installed Linux. The “AI” chips can take a nap until native support comes in later iterations, but the CPU is up to the task. It took a little BIOS tinkering, and after I arm wrestled the partitions away from Window’s bit locker, I am left with a secure, fast, and wonderful laptop.Windows deserves -27 stars. But Acer, for the quality of the machine, deserves the full five. It is solid with a tight quiet chassis. The screen is pleasant enough and bright when needs be. The keys are crisp with a pleasant backlight. But the feature I adore most is the battery life. I have had many laptops, and they have all disappointed me in terms of battery life. Yet this has broken the streak of disappointments. Even with aggressive installations and tinkering, it has remained at a healthy percentage for longer than I would have guessed. A pleasant surprise, to be sure.Please know this is not a gaming laptop. I bought this for basic computering tasks and not for ray tracing and online dopamine hits in whatever game is in vogue with spotted teenagers. So if you want a computer for basic computer tasks (word processing, web surfing, multimedia whatnots), this is a solid choice. If you want a laptop for gaming, reconsider. But know this carries my discerning approval.Cheers!

Great Battery Life
I’ve been using this laptop for a few months now. I bought it because my primary laptop, a Razer Blade 15, has horrific battery life and basically needs to be plugged in at all times. I already have a desktop computer, so having to lug around a huge charger and find an outlet everywhere kind of defeats the purpose of laptop. So I picked up this Acer as something I could use for light use here and there when I didn’t feel like being tethered to a wall.It has exceeded my expectations. It’s light and portable, has a great looking screen. It’s quickly become my primary computer. Most importantly for me, the battery life is phenomenal. I can bring it was me on a weekend trip with a full charge and not worry about having to bring along the charger. I’m very happy with the Acer Asper 14 AI.

Frustratingly small keyboard — 799 is too much to pay for this item.
ACER makes great laptops, but this model is different, as it is very small, light and powerful, and the keyboard really takes getting used to — my hands are an average size, this keyboard feels as if it was created for a 13-year old. I paid $799 for it using Amazon monthly payments and overall, I paid too much. I have used an Acer Nitro V for 10 years and even though the battery lasts about two hours now, it performs completely reliably, never a problem. Just letting people know, you may have to buy an external keyboard so you don’t lose your mind constantly having to correct your typing errors.

I’ve been using this laptop for a couple of month, mostly for work with no problems at all. I haven’t had a chance to really push it’s capabilities. I knocked off one star it seems to be a little over priced.

Update: downloaded skyrim and it played good, wasn’t laggy and graphics weren’t reduced for quality.This laptop is the first windows laptop I’ve had in years and I love it. The screen is bright and has a matte finish to reduce fingerprint smudges. The battery life is excellent – although I haven’t tested out gaming yet. It lasts all day from just simple work and watching videos. It charges quickly, too. The sound quality honestly isn’t bad in my opinion, it does it’s job and is good enough for me to not want to use headphones. Catching this laptop on sale is a good deal.
