Best for budget
Great for what I needed it for, I don’t use it for gaming but it is fast and small, the quality is top tier for what you’re paying for and easy to use for a college student. I’ve had no issues with it as I use it for my college classes

Excellent student laptop
Purchased this for my son in grade 9 strictly for the purpose of doing homework and assignments. For the specs it works great powering through MS Office and web browsing. Multiple tabs open and zero slowdown. Battery life is great and it charges fairly fast. Very lightweight and comfortable to use it actually looks more expensive than it is.

Nice No Frills Laptop
Nice low cost no frills laptop. I bought it after my wife’s Lenovo 2 in 1 broke at the hinges.No touch screen, no backlit keys but the build seems sturdy, battery life is good and is fast enough for any office work, web browsing or video streaming.The biggest drawback is the sound volume and quality, which is kind of… meh.

Size and set up
I just rec’ this and I am being toally honest, I have never set up a computer as quick as I did this one. Its very nice and the screen is large . I am 73 and its getting a bit hard to read messages and such with a small screen, so I am so excited about this one. Usally I have to keep ajusting the zoom on my old laptop, but not this one. It set up so fast I was able to get on FB very fast and play my games. I would highly recommend this. Price was awesome! I am a real consumer, not pad for any review. Have a great day everyone.

Nice Computer – Dangerous Charger/Battery
I used to like Acer:I received the laptop a few days ago. I followed the very sparse getting started instructions and plugged the charging cord into the Aspire GO 15 laptop and then into the wall socket. Immediately, upon plugging in, sparks and FIRE shot out of the electrical socket I plugged it into & in the other sockets in the same room. VERY DANGEROUS!! I immediately unplugged it from the wall.The weird thing is the computer seems to work fine, I was able to set it up and set up my email account too. It seems that it was already fully charged when it arrived?? But, I’m pretty sure the fire and sparks caused damage to my electrical wiring. I’m afraid to use the electrical socket now, as it might cause a fire in the wall, if the wiring encasing has melted.I filled out the refund or return online form here at Amazon… two days in a row. But, they are silent. The form says I need to erase any personal information before sending the computer back. But, I don’t know how long the computer will continue working without being charged and no one has offered to send me a label to send it back. I’ve heard absolutely nothing from Amazon or Acer.So, I am inclined to just report this very dangerous product to the “Consumer Protective Safety Commission”. It could have very easily caused a fire or injured someone who was too near the socket. I believe the battery and charger is from Thailand and they got it from China. China has recently had some of their battery chargers recalled. This one should be recalled too… in my opinion.

This is a decent upgradeable machine.
Contrary to the incompetent online reviews and AI-generated advice on upgradability, both memory and storage are upgradeable – there is SODIMM slot for memory and M.2 slot for SSD. The back panel is metal. The machine emphasizes frugality, yet its specs and performance are decent and suitable for any business or entertainment operations. Though, I do not know about the hardcore gaming, I do not play games, The screen quality is great, the sound is so-so, yet not noticeably worse than in other laptops of this size. Sometimes, the fan makes very quiet high-pitch noise, but I did not find it bothersome. There might have been a different version of the machine in the past, not upgradeable and with a plastic back panel, but this is not what they are selling now. At the price they are selling it for, it is a steal.

IT WORKS VERY WELL FOR THE MONEY.
I bought this laptop for my sister so I don’t know how she likes it yet, but I did use it before giving it to her to make sure everything works. I’m happy to say this computer is great value and it’s easy to use once you get into it. I had trouble because I don’t know how to use a PASSKEY or the QR code. Last time I bought a PC you didn’t need that to get in. But that’s the way it is. They need to make a lot of security measures so no one will be able to hack into your personal things. I got it on sale for $199.00 and it’s a good purchase. I’m waiting on my sister to tell me what she thinks but she’s very slow to use any computer related hardware. I liked it though. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for an inexpensive laptop for everyday use.

Great laptop!
This was quick & easy to set up. I have kept it in safe mode with no issues. I have always used Google Chrome, but can access my Google email & documents with no issue, and web browsing with Microsoft Edge works just fine. I also have no problem with the keyboard. The Performance & Functionality fits my daily needs.

This is a U.S. made laptop which while having all you might expect, and I have no complaints re the quality or performance the annoying / frustrating thing is that the keyboard is for the U.S. user and consequently there is no UK Pound key, it,s the $ key also the @ key for UK use is the exclamation mark key. That is when you switch the the UK key format which very frequently just reverts back to the U.S. mode !!!!I have tried to contact the ACER support service through the contacts provided but these turn out to be in Taiwan who replied in Chinese. Unfortunately since I am only a home use user I only started to find these problems after the Amazon return date . My next move is to contact Which Computer Services and see if they can sort the keyboard problem out for me. Lesson learned !!!
