Best bang for your Buck
Darn good camera for a great price. I use it to record my bass fishing outings and post it on YouTube!! It does a freaking amazing job! Battery life isn’t the best but hey you get two batteries so I can’t much complain. I record in 1080 60 with not one problem!! I’ll be buying the newer or most updated version in a couple of weeks…Oh yeah,, AKASO reached out to me and asked was everything okay with the camera!! That was so cool to me! And they even sent me a replacement cover for my battery,, damn good customer service!

If you’re considering an action camera but shying away from the price of the hugely recognizable brand then this is for you! It’s a fantastic value!Pros:- great pic quality- great video quality- unlimited and readily available accessories- ready to use in about an hour- camera functions are intuitive- mobile app is easy to useThe only “con” I’ll speak to is in regards to the camera not being waterproof. Now I knew this when I bought it but considered the small burden of having to use a waterproof case to be well worth saving over $200 from the waterproof brand with nearly the same features all around.This thing rocks for the price and continues to exceed my expectations.

The camera reset all settings including the time and date anytime you have to swap the battery. The instructions do not tell you the max SD card you can use, on the website it just says “…” I figure 3 dots meant it could handle at least 128gb, curious if it can handle 512gb. However I am currently using a 128GB SD card without issue so far. Also, you MUST format the card anytime you use it or the files get all mixed up and it may not actually be saving new videos. For the price I cannot be too upset. I just use it as a safety precaution on my motorcycle if anything happens ill have proof of a wreck or other… The battery last about 1 hour 15 mins constantly running on 720p 30fps with screen saver active. The speaker on the device is pointless. The waterproof case is decent, no leaks while getting stuck in heavy rain. Also is can only record in continuous mode or in 10 minute clips, which there was some confusion online and the manual online.

Buyer Beware
I had this action camera and tested it for about 3 months, a few days ago while doing 45MPH on my motercycle, the clip on the top of the case failed and sent the camera flying out of the back of the case, where it kissed a trucks wheel, obliterating the camera. Before this incident I was more than happy with the camera, at 1080p 60fps I was able to record for a hour and a half, and the quality was good, the digital stabilization they use is satisfactory, not as good as Go Pro but this is cheaper, overall 3-5 stars due to the case malfunction and potential loss of private information.

Very good value
I wanted an underwater action camera for only occasional use. I haven’t got one before because I couldn’t justify the GoPro prices. However, this one is great at a fantastic price. It came with a load of connecting mounts and two batteries. So far it exceeds my expectations. The remote is sparse – photo and video on/off, but that it fine with me. I don’t know enough about picture quality, but the pictures and video from this seem at least as good as my iPhone, and easily high enough quality for what I use it for. I downloaded the phone app for this. It has bad reviews, but has worked flawlessly for me. The phone app gives one control of all of the camera functions and settings, so I will probably use that as a remote over the more basic included remote.

Don’t trust these with important moments
I bought two of these cameras, opposed to getting an insta or GoPro, because of the price. I severely regret that decision. Sometimes they work great and give you clear, stable footage BUT sometimes they just stop working for no reason (plenty of memory, plenty of battery). There is nothing you can do to get those moments back. I had these cameras mounted on my motorcycle during the eclipse and NEITHER got any footage, even though one got footage earlier that day and they both were indicating that they were recording. This isn’t the first time this has happened either. I just keep trying and thinking that I did something wrong but this just happens too much. I’ve tried different memory cards, too. Same thing. The first one that I bought works SLIGHTLY better than the second one. I am past the return window so I’m just stuck with the expense of these AND having to pay to replace them with what I should have bought in the first place. Not with the “savings”.
