The HDTV transmits the sound to the B50 via an HDMI cable. The CEC function is supported and the remote control switches the TV and the B50 amplifier on and off at the same time.

B50 by Arylic: Biggest bang for your buck.
The B50 is a great choice for a secondary room with incredible sound quality and great connection options for such a small box. Biggest bang for the buck.The B50 by Arylic is a compact Amp that is great for a secondary room or office or even a great alternative to a sound bar. I’m very impressed with the quality of the product itself and the sound quality is also very impressive for such a small box. I would recommend this amp to anyone that is looking to add a stereo to additional rooms. Also I was very surprised to find that this amp also comes with a very detailed app called Go control. The app is very detailed and allows you to adjust everything in the amp from your phone. You do not often see an app like this included so this is a huge benefit in my option. The bass output from this device is the strongest I have seen and you will actually have to adjust the level down in most cases.Connect options: Bluetooth, Toslink, Line In, Phono, TV ARC, USB (Used to add storage) and a DAC connection.Speaker output: The B50 can output 50W x2 at 4 Ohm or 30W x2 at 8 Ohm speakers and also comes with a low level Subwoofer output which is rare for a device this small.More details on connection options: Bluetooth connectivity has two antennas. Best part. Is you can connect two pairs of bluetooth headphones simultaneously with different input source.Go Control app: You can switch inputs, adjust the subwoofer (crossover adjustments) also available as well as the deep bass button which is very powerful. There is no shortage of bass output with this device. It is shocking how strong the bass is on this device which makes this device a great chose to fill a small room with great sound. The deep bass setting is set to 30% which might be more than you need but it is great to have the option if needed. I found myself turning the bass down for the room that I was in but this is really a personal choice. I did not see support for Arylic’s Up2Stream app but I might have missed the option to access the app.Overall if you are looking for an amp for a smaller room I would say this is the best choice and the biggest bang for the buck. I did use this divide on several speakers and this device drove all the speakers without any issues. The connection options and outputs is impressive and should be enough on most situations. The packaging and presentation is also top notch, I was very impressed with the packaging and the documentation that was provided.

Avoid. Terrible audio quality.
The bluetooth implementation is terrible. Pairing my phone with it resulted in an extreme loss of volume range. There is no audio below 50% volume and each click up from 50% results in huge changes to the volume from the speakers. So essentially you get half the range of volume that you should get and cannot fine tune volume in bluetooth.HDMI ARC frequently fails to wake up the unit. Instead you have to manually switch out of HDMI and back to it to get any audio out.The B50 redigitizes analog input so it can do its DSP on them. This results in a bunch of unnecessary resampling that adds a lot of noise and distortion to the end sound.The other major issue is the DAC and AMP itself. The B50 utilizes a terrible quality DAC and AMP. The integrated DAC on your PC is probably better and definitely wont be worse than the one in the B50. The AMP is very muddy throughout the mids. Higher voices are rendered well but instruments like guitars/drums/cymbals are all pretty messy to listen to.I will be returning mine.Avoid this one. There are much better and cheaper options out there.

Excellent buy! Bought this for the bedroom TV to setup a stereo system with my JBL N28 speakers (late ’90s). I have an older Samsung smart TV (2013-ish) and the ARC function works well with this new receiver. I can control the power and volume just using my TV remote. The AVR has nice EQ functions on the included remote, as well as manual adjusting in the App. This is a massive improvement in sound quality coming from just using the built-in TV speakers. I don’t have a subwoofer connected even though there is a channel for it on the AVR, just not needed with my JBLs for the bedroom. All in all, this is a great setup that works well with older equipment, and is great quality for the price point. AVR can sit behind the TV and still communicate with remote.

New release of this is not nearly as good or reliable
Latest release on this product is poor, amp died in a week and lots of software bugs I found. I have an older exact model of this and it’s fine sounds great works good. The new models new firmware and whatever they did to the hardware is poor, great concept tho and I still enjoy the previously purchased model.

Great upgrade for the sound system.
This is an amazing little amp! The sound quality is fantastic, with clear highs and deep bass that really surprised me for its size. It has so many connection options—Bluetooth, TV ARC, Optical, and even Phono, making it super versatile. The Go Control app is a great bonus, letting me fine-tune everything easily from my phone. Setup was a breeze, and it works flawlessly. Definitely a great buy for anyone wanting a compact yet powerful amp!

Great HDMI product at this price
I own a B50SE unit for over a year and it’s excellent for a desktop setup, and even beyond. Sound is good and it has worked perfectly. It’s connected to a Mac Mini using the DAC input. I just purchased this B50 unit for someone else mainly because it has HDMI. It was not synching well with an Onn TV. I had to update the firmware and bring it down from the 60 to the 57 version, and now it’s working great as the TV wasn’t recognizing it at first. The firmware update utility is on Arylic’s website and the process took about 10 minutes using a Windows computer. At this price, I don’t think this product has competition if you’re looking for a budget HDMI option using eARC.

An sich ein schöner kompakter Verstärker mit vielen Anschlussmöglichkeiten, der ein ordentliches Soundbild in Kombination mit meinen Acoustics 3020i gibt.Das große Problem des Gerätes:Es kommt mit der fehlerhaften Firmware V60. Die Soundwiedergabe ist nach dem Einschalten des Verstärkers viel zu leise. Dreht man den Verstärker dann auf, kommt es zu einem unangenehmen lauten Knackgeräusch der Boxen und der Sound ist viel zu laut und muss wieder runterreguliert werden. Das ist nach jedem einschalten der Fall.Es hilft lediglich ein Downgrade der Firmware, die man im Arylic-Forum findet. Am besten funktioniert diese über den USB-C Anschluss. Die Firmware V57 funktioniert jetzt tadellos.

i had problems at the beginning and to be honest, i was about to give up but there are no alternatives on the market with HDMI input around at that price range:issues i had (i think firmware was 60…,now 61)-sound was too low, suddenly it gets loud out of nowhere (with cracking)-sometimes 1 channel was not working at all (not a cabling issue for sure)-app not connectingsupport offers different ways to upgrade the firmware, use a windows PC and USB-C cable, that will work (best).Now we are becoming friends I guess. The 4/5 stars are temporary at the moment. I will use it some more days firstupdate:when i turn on TV, the B50 switches to ARC but does not play, i give up, too much time wasted

Genau wie in den anderen Rezensionen hatte ich das Problem mit der zu leisen Lautstärke, die dann mit einem lauten Knacks auf viel zu laut springt. Bei jedem Einschalten.Nach Bananen Software also jetzt Bananen Hardware.Die neueste Firmware bekommt man leider nicht auf der Webseite zum Download, für die ältere muss man auch das Forum studieren. Nach E-Mail Kontakt mit dem Support hab ich die neueste v62 Version bekommen, aber der Verstärker wollte diese leider nicht annehmen.Das ist echt schade, denn die Ausstattung ist super und der Klang, so weit ich das beurteilen kann, auch.Super auch das man den Phono Eingang von MM auf MC schalten kann, das haben nichtmal günstige “traditionelle” Verstärker.Das Gehäuse aus Metall gefällt auch.
