Price vs value
First off, Asus is an amazing company. The problem is housing that is bringing every quality company to its knees right now, which may go bankrupt, including Amazon. I used to upgrade my computer every couple of years with the top of the line products, but not anymore. This will be the last computer I will ever buy, along with every other product that America sells, not because I don’t want the products, because if I had the money I would buy the $7k computer, but because living is consuming my entire paycheck, I can’t afford anything right now. Housing/Rent prices, Vehicle prices and Food Prices are choking me. Housing/Rent prices being #1.The computer is great. Rgb keyboard with plenty of patterns and colors. 18 screen which is the #1 reason I wanted it. The build quality is good. Upgrade ability is good. The value is not. In order for this to make sense, the price needs to be $300 in this economy, or housing, vehicle and food prices need to come down 70%.May I suggest Amazon, Meta, Microsoft and Google start building houses, vehicles and farms instead of data centers, no need to track how broke I am, it’s easy to figure out why. I would like to go back to buying alot more products from Asus and Amazon like I was before 2020. Again Asus and Amazon are the best companies in the world I hope they don’t go bankrupt because of housing and vehicle prices.

Solid mid-tier gaming laptop that won’t break the bank
The screen is perhaps the biggest selling point on this model, as at 18” at 144Hz it’s the first thing anyone notices. Good value for money as of September 2025. Solidly built for being less than 7 lbs. The extra width also means users with larger hands will still have lots of space to use the keyboard and trackpad without feeling cramped. That same width means you’ll need to check your favorite laptop bag/pack for fit, but the narrow bezel means it’s not much more than older 17” models. Like any ROG system, it comes loaded with gaming apps meant to help boost your gaming experience, though you can debate the actual usefulness of those. Comes with Win 11 and I did go ahead and bump up the RAM. The fans will hum a bit at full throttle but you won’t notice if you’re wearing headphones. Overall, I’m very pleased with the speed and performance for this price point.
