Impressively accurate monitor
Let me start off by saying that this is a pretty inexpensive BP monitor (relative to most used in a medical setting). I understand that using a blood pressure machine at home is a little different and that it comes with certain caveats. Ideally, understand what the results mean and how to interpret them in the context of your health. This is a good machine for reporting to a physician or other medical authority – definitely not something I’d recommend for someone to self-treat with. With all that said and done, this thing is actually fairly accurate. I find about a +/-2% range on systolic pressures when compared to a LifePak 15 cardiac monitor and a Zoll Series X monitor (which spit out fairly similar results). The diastolic pressures are relatively constant across all these models. This is especially impressive seeing how this is around 0.15% the cost of an industrial machine. Now let me reiterate this is not for self-diagnosing at home. Just because it can get similar readings to professional, industrial grade monitors does not replace the human aspect of interpreting and trending them. The display is easy to use and read, with the numbers being big enough and an indicator for an irregular heart rate. It was able to catch atrial fibrillation fairly easily in someone with known afib. It works just as intended. The cuff is well made and doesn’t seem prone to shearing. I saw someone mention about this cuff not having padding… well it is not supposed to. Run far away if your BP cuff has padding as that will skew the results big time. This will fit the average adult sized female/male with the reference range on this cuff. I’m not sure what other sizes they sell but there is only 1 included. Now onto the bad… this boasts that it comes with batteries. This is not a false statement; However, I do find that the batteries were extremely cheap and actually did not work at all. Just make sure you have 4x AAA batteries on hand for the inevitability of the included batteries not working. This also boats about its app. The memory capacity is alright on the machine itself, but it encourages to get the app to have unlimited storage. The app, from what I understand, costs money in the form of a monthly subscription to get a hub account. This is a bit silly as I can’t see it doing anything more than a typical pen and paper could do.You have already voted this -
Reliable, Comfortable, and Just the Right Size
I have two other blood pressure monitors at home — one is a compact wrist model for travel, and the other is quite large and bulky. This Nomo Smart Care monitor is just the right size — not too big, not too small — and perfect for everyday use.I compared its readings to both of my other devices, and they matched up very well. The measurements are accurate and consistent. The cuff is soft, easy to put on, and has helpful markers to guide proper placement. The large, bright display is easy to read, even without glasses. It supports two user profiles, so readings can be saved separately. It runs on AAA batteries (included), so it’s ready to go right out of the box.The only downside is the app — it requires a separate hub and a subscription, which I chose not to use. But even without it, the monitor works perfectly. It’s a well-designed, dependable blood pressure monitor that feels easy and comfortable to use at home. You have already voted this -
Easy to use and consistent readings
I ordered this Nomo Smart Care Blood Pressure Monitor so my family could monitor our blood pressure in between doctor’s visits. This monitor takes four AAA batteries, which are included in the package. It can store two people’s information and up to 199 readings per user, which is super helpful. It is very easy to attach the cuff to the monitor. The monitor itself has a large text display that is very easy to read. The cuff has guide marks which make it easy to properly align it on your arm for an accurate reading. The cuff is comfortable and fits most arms. If someone has a larger than average arm, you can purchase a larger cuff. The cuff inflates fairly quickly and reads the blood pressure in less than a minute or two. This monitor also monitors for irregular heartbeat for an extra layer of monitoring. You can load your readings onto your phone via Bluetooth. If you download their app, you can store an unlimited amount of readings. When I did so, you have to attach it to a hub, which has a monthly subscription fee, so I deleted the app. This machine has very consistent readings. We have checked it several times against readings we have gotten at the machine in our drugstore, and the readings are accurate within a point or two. Overall, this is a very easy to use blood pressure cuff with consistent, accurate readings, and a good value at the price point. You have already voted this -
Faulty machine
Kills batteries not accurate at all. Not easy to use if you are trying to put cuff on without kinking anything. And charging port is not a charger it’s just a power input. So doesn’t function accurately as it should. You have already voted this
