Fantastic soundstage, great comfort, excellent detail
I tried several different headphones that could be used wired (for better sound reproduction) and settled on the B&W. I have a Polestar 3 auto with the B&W system so I’m used to their sound signature. The Px8s are very comfortable. Not to tight, not loose. The AirPods Max felt like a vice-grip on my noggin. The soundstage is amazing. I find myself getting lost in the music hearing details not picked up by other headphones. The ANC is very good. It’s hard to beat Bose for ANC, but these are very close behind. The trade-off (if any) for the ANC is the amazing sound reproduction. I am coming from the Sennheiser Momentum 4s – great headphones, but I’m giving the edge to B&W.Sounds is very subjective -some prefer highs, other deep bass. The best headphones are the ones that sound best to you (same with speakers). I find the B&Ws check all of the boxes, especially when used wired. The Bluetooth (wireless) function works perfectly well – no cut-outs or static.I highly recommend these headphones.

The sound performance justifies the cost
The Bowers & Wilkins Px8 S2 headphones genuinely surprised me. The sound is incredibly crisp and detailed, with a punchy low end that instantly reminded me of the original Dr. Dre studio headphones-but with a much more refined, premium level. Everything sounds balanced and clear, wether it’s bass-heavy tracks or vocals, and the overall listening experience feels immersive without being overwhelming.I’ll admit I was hesitant at first because of the price. These aren’t cheap, and I debated for a while before pulling the trigger. After spending time with them, though, I can confidently say they’ve been worth it. The build quality, comfort, and sound performance all justify the cost. If you’re on the fence because of the price, the Px8 S2 delivers enough quality to make the hesitation fade pretty quickly.

2nd to none
2nd to none at this price point. I have the px7 s2e and tried the px7 s3. After comparing the 3, it’s obviously in a class of its own even when listened to by untrained ears (wife and daughter). You could mouth/saliva sounds on all songs with acappella parts. Crazy to state when talking about headphones, but it has a huge sound stage. Kinda need to try them to know what I mean. No EQ adjustments needed. The px7 s3 tries to come close with major EQ adjustments (got the settings from recordingnow.com), but the clarity, separation, and warmth is what sets it apart by far.If you don’t have the budget, save and buy them on sale. Don’t even take them on a test drive unless you’re ready to buy because you’ll start hating your current headphones.Sony xm4, xm5, and xm6 definitely has the leg up on ANC, but these are good enough to block sounds coming from an 18″ barrel fan sitting 3 feet away (don’t need much more than that imo).

Great headphone
The noise cancellation is really wonderful, meanwhile it keeps high quality sound. Very comfortable to wear.

You Instantly Know These Are 5 Star Headphones
I ordered these two days ago and as– soon as I put them on, I forgot about how they cost and only thought about how beautiful they sounded. I still use a pair of Wireless P7’s– from about 10 year ago– and they still sound great, but these headphones are a step up from them! Compared to Bose 35 QC’s, these definitely fell tighter on my ears but their noise cancelation, and everything else, seem that much better.

Unacceptable distortion for a $800 pair of headphones on the low ends.
Sounds great, with the right streaming service or hi-res downloads. Does not preform exceptionally well on the low ends. And even distorts a great deal on low end side, when at a higher volume. Not acceptable for a $800 pair of headphones. But they are my preferred headphones, even over my bass heavy pair.

Best purchase made
I had these just recently couple days, I have to say this is best headphones I ever owned. i tried comparing them to my 660s Sennheiser wired, and it so close. its crazy how Bluetooth gotten this far. super comfortable as well, it sits perfect on my ear. Everything sound so crisp. its almost like your there. Granted this is not to replace my pc wired setup. but for VR Bluetooth, and phone. I tried using USB C to my phone, cant really tell, maybe slightly crisp but not noticeable enough to go to USB C, wires are long gone. Honestly this is most expensive headphone I ever bought, if I could buy it again I would. My mom listen to Andrea Bocelli “Con Te Partiro” she started crying cause she felt every word. that means alot coming from a Bluetooth headphones

Great with a few exceptions
The sound quality of these is amazing. They have a nice rich warm sound to them, the detail and clarity is really nice and they dont sound too muddy at all. The controls are very nice(I love buttons) and they are easy to press, without being so easy that they will set off by accident. The case is wonderfully made, very premium feeling. Now for the bad things. For some reason they feel like they have some slight balancing issues. Perhapse all the songs I listen to just like putting the vocals more on the left side, but on some songs its fine, on most it seems left shifted. Ive had skme friends who also notice it, and the app has no way of changing that. Another issue is the build quality. For the price they should have zero issues with the quality of build, this is also my second pair and on my first pair the headband adjustment got loose and when holding the headphones by the band, they would slowly slide down. Now on my new pair, its started happening on the right ear cup. Its not the worst thing, but its disappointing given the price. There is also very little customization in terms of the controls, it would be nice if I could set up Spotify tap on these things.

I wasn’t quite sure how to start this review, but I’ll try to put it into words.First, the sound: these are great, detailed, beautiful sounding headphones. If I dare say so, they might be the pinnacle of wireless headphones on the market right now. The instrument separation is insane and masterfully done. That said, I have to be honest I expected a bigger soundstage based on all the raving reviews out there. People made it seem otherworldly, like something that has never been done before. Don’t get me wrong, it is definitely better than many of the big names in the wireless space, but still, something feels missing in the sound, and I honestly cannot put my finger on what it is. To my ears, it leans toward a more grounded presentation, which isn’t entirely my preference, but other aspects of the sound definitely make up for it.When it comes to build quality, the PX8 S2 is superb. They used the finest materials, and you can tell the moment you unbox it. With frequent use, you start to appreciate that craftsmanship even more. Now onto the questionable part, comfort is the reason I am giving this a 4 out of 5. If you are expecting something light and comfortable, you are wrong; this headphone is not for you. It is not just on the heavier side, but the headband is awfully designed. After just minutes of use, it starts to feel like you are putting 10kg of weight on top of your head. My head felt sore right where the headband sits. It is bulky but not well-padded, does not sit right, and feels out of place due to the poor cushioning. I find myself wanting to listen more and appreciate the sound, but I keep asking: is it really worth going through this pain? I end up taking breaks far more often than I do with any other headphone.Design wise, I genuinely don’t know how this part went over their head (no pun intended). The earcups are fine, though they are a little tight due to the noticeably strong clamping force. It is manageable and may loosen up with use.One underrated aspect is that they do not cause heat buildup or pressure inside your ears (even with ANC on). I was worried I would face the same horrible pressure that other “class-leading” ANC headphones gave me, but thankfully B&W got that part right.

After testing both the PX7 S3 and the PX8 S2 I can say the PX8S2 are in a league of their own. The PX7S3 sounds great, I listen to Drum and bass, Minimal techno and rock. The S3 performs well with EDM with a great bass response and the high range is also good, in terms of value for money they are great and alot better than Sony/Bose/Seinheiser M4 as I have all of them. But here comes the PX8S2… They sound flat out of the box with slight over the top mids and highs. After I EQ’D them they sound alot better than the PX7S3 (in all the above mentioned genres). Bass is tight and clean and they sound like the PX7S3 just with the superior audio quality. The PX7 S3 struggled with rock/metal as the mid range is quite recessed, here the PX8 S2 shines as the instrument separation, larger sound stage and detail with great low end bass comes through. These cans deliver across the board with my electronic music sounding great and all other genres! The ear cups are also a tad bigger so they win in comfort, its Napa leather so they are superior in built quality and looks! The PX8 S2 delivers in ways I cannot describe! Just buy them and try this EQ. You can thank me later. 1(+2.5)/2(-4)/3(-1)/4(-1)5/(-1)

Firstly I would like to disclose that I am no audiophile, or have loads of experience when it comes to audio shenanigans. But I have gone through a fair few headphones before. Got caught up with the whole brand recognition with my first proper pair of headphones (Beats Studio) then moved onto Sony mx series. And a brief dance with the Bose 700. Then came upon Bowers & Wilkins. So here it is the PX8 S2, visually hasn’t changed dramatically. (Which is good) but the changes are nice. They look more luxurious; obviously the question is…. Are they worth the upgrade; in my opinion yes. granted these are not a cheap pair of headphones. So if will basically be down to you and if you choose to invest. These sound amazing out of the box, the sound signature is better than the previous Px8’s. Though If you prioritise noise cancellation then maybe Bose or Sony maybe the cans your looking for. The PX8 S2 do a very good job when it comes to voice cancellation. From my research and what I’ve read Bowers prefer to focus more on sound quality than ANC. But these are no slouches when it comes to ANC.I myself love these, it ticks all the boxes for me, it doesn’t look like a generic pair of headphones and feel very premium; not to say that I walk the streets praying people look at me salivating and overrun with jealousy. The sound these headphones give you is amazing, a refined listen. So yes it’s worth the upgrade whether you’re new to Bowers & Wilkins or not. But I’m not going to sit here and demand you spend your hard hard earned money on these. As I was myself hesitant about clicking the buy it now button. £600 is a lot of money to fork out. But I am very passionate about music and it helps me through the days. So sound quality important to me. And when it comes to the other headphones I’ve had these for me are the best. Well I hope I’ve been helpful if I haven’t I apologise profusely. And beg upon you forgiveness.ScoresSound quality 5/5Look 5/5Ease of use 5/5The app 5/5Noise cancellation 4/5
