They work at 3.0 speeds
I was hoping for a cable that felt like it was forged in the fires of Mount Doom, but instead, I got something that feels more like it was assembled in a mildly determined factory. That said, it does work, and that’s what really matters.These Cable Matters USB A to A 3.0 cables do their job—they transfer data at USB 3.0 speeds, and I haven’t run into any performance issues. I tested them with multiple devices, and they maintained a solid connection without any unexpected drops. If you’re looking for pure functionality, they absolutely deliver.However, the build quality leaves a little to be desired. The cables feel a bit flimsy, and the connectors don’t have that satisfying, secure “click” you get from higher-end cables. They plug in just fine, but I worry about long-term durability with repeated use. I wouldn’t go yanking them out aggressively unless you enjoy living on the edge.Overall, for the price, they’re a decent buy. If you just need a USB A to A 3.0 cable that works and don’t mind something that doesn’t feel premium, these will get the job done. Just don’t expect them to survive the apocalypse—or even a particularly clumsy cat.
