Great read
I gave this book to my 16 year old son who is a sports lover and athlete. I asked him what he thought about the book and he said it was, “cool”. Prying for more information he then told me it was very easy to read, the stories were interesting and not stuff he’d normally hear about. He used it for an assignment he had to complete so that lets me know he enjoyed it.

My 7 year old athlete loved reading about all the different, not so known sports! It was a great conversation starter that sparked interest for my kid. We found this book fun and definitely captivating.

Great stories to read with kids
I purchased this digital version of the book to read to my boys. They were captivated by the tales within, especially the Surf and Stab story where Julian and Mick face off with a shark! What a thrill to read!

Oddly interesting sports
The book was a very simple read, and included several different chapters of oddly intriguing sports. There were a few chapters that highlighted sports that we all know, and these really landed on the lesson of the chapter.I think the thing that I liked most was the lessons of each chapter, though learning about these sports from around the world that I had never heard of was pretty interesting, also. I like that the book was also written in a way that a child could understand the sports as well as the lessons.

Very inspiring for kids who want to try new stuff
I purchased the kindle version of this book for my 8 year old brother and he absolutely loved it. The stories were very inspiring and the level of description made him feel like he was there with them. He read it all in one go! His favorite story was the underdog team and ended up winning the championship. You should totally purchase this if you want your kid or sibling to get interested in reading and they like sports.

I bought this book to read to my little kiddos and my teenager ended up loving it too!!! This has got something for everyone – I’ve found my 14 year old reading this to his 6, 4, and 2 year old siblings multiple times!!! As a mom, I love that these stories are well written and fun but short enough to read before bed without losing everyone’s attention.
