If you suspect they’ve broken a bone in one of their limbs, immobilize the area using a splint or sling.Apply cold to the area: Wrap an ice pack or bag of ice cubes in a piece of cloth and apply it to the injured area for up to 10 minutes at a time.Treat them for shock: Help them get into a comfortable position, encourage them to rest, and reassure them. Bleeding

For severe bleedingRemove any clothing or debris on the wound. Don’t remove large or deeply embedded objects. Don’t probe the wound or attempt to clean it yet. Stop the bleeding. Place a sterile bandage or clean cloth on the wound. Press the bandage firmly with your palm to control bleeding. Apply constant pressure until the bleeding stops. Maintain pressure by binding the wound with a thick bandage or a piece of clean cloth. Don’t put direct pressure on an eye injury or embedded object.Secure the bandage with adhesive tape or continue to maintain pressure with your hands. If possible, raise an injured limb above the level of the heart.Help the injured person lie down. If possible, place the person on a rug or blanket to prevent loss of body heat. Tourniquets: A tourniquet is effective in controlling life-threatening bleeding from a limb. When emergency help arrives, explain how long the tourniquet has been in place.Call 911 for severe bleeding that you can’t control.

ChokingChoking

Choking

To perform abdominal thrusts (Heimlich maneuver) on someone else:Stand behind the person. Place one foot slightly in front of the other for balance. Wrap your arms around the waist. Tip the person forward slightly. If a child is choking, kneel down behind the child.Make a fist with one hand. Position it slightly above the person’s navel.Grasp the fist with the other hand. Press hard into the abdomen with a quick, upward thrust — as if trying to lift the person up.Perform between six and 10 abdominal thrusts until the blockage is dislodged. If you’re the only rescuer, perform back blows and abdominal thrusts before calling 911 or your local emergency number for help. If another person is available, have that person call for help while you perform first aid.If the person becomes unconscious, perform standard cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) with chest compressions and rescue breaths

resuscitationresuscitation

Resuscitation

1. Put the person on his or her back on a firm surface.2. Kneel next to the person’s neck and shoulders.3. Place the heel of one hand over the center of the person’s chest, between the nipples. Place your other hand on top of the first hand. Keep your elbows straight and position your shoulders directly above your hands.4. Use your upper body weight (not just your arms) as you push straight down on (compress) the chest at least 2 inches (approximately 5 centimeters) but not greater than 2.4 inches (approximately 6 centimeters). Push hard at a rate of 100 to 120 compressions a minute.5. If you haven’t been trained in CPR, continue chest compressions until there are signs of movement or until emergency medical personnel take over. If you have been trained in CPR, go on to opening the airway and rescue breathing.

    Good kit for camping!
Great quality first aid kit! I bought it for camping and was less concerned with everything that it comes with and just wanted a nice case. This does the trick, and all of the included supplies are great!

    Perfect for traveling
Very nice and small, perfect for camping and trips. The only downside I have is that it is a bit small for how much is in there so if you open it in a rush smaller items might spill. It also can have enough space to add portable size medicine box and an epi-pen

Good to keep in the car
I bought this car medical kit for peace of mind, and I’m very impressed with how complete it is. The case is compact enough to store in my trunk without taking up much space, but it’s packed with all the essentials—bandages, gauze, antiseptic wipes, scissors, tweezers ect. Everything is organized neatly in compartments, so it’s easy to grab what I need quickly. The case itself feels sturdy and durable, perfect for keeping in a vehicle where it might get bumped around. I like knowing that if I’m on a road trip, camping, or just driving around town, I have reliable first aid supplies on hand. For the price, it’s a great value and a smart addition to any car. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to be prepared for unexpected situations.

    Well stocked kit
It’s a nice little kit. It has everything you’ll need to treat basic ouchies lol. Lots of bandaids, tons of alcohol wipes, antiseptic wipes, soap wipes, emergency poncho and space blanket, gauze, tape, etc. I put the shears to work right away and cut the elastic that makes the pouch not lay out flat because that was a stupid design, now I can easily reach all parts of the pouch because the bottom was near impossible to access before.I’ll throw a tourniquet in it/on it and keep this in the car for just in case.Originally bought to attach to my daughters go bag (a small molle shoulder bag) but it’s a *little* too big for it to maintain the lightness I was going for. So I opted for one of those little vinyl pouch kits for in that bag. Overall I’d say I’m happy with this for what I paid.

    Looks are deceiving
This first aid kit is really nice from what I can tell. When you first open it. Everything inside is packed up in plastic and I have not opened that yet to see the materials included. As far as build quality, I think the kit is very well built and looks very nice. Very sturdy it would seem. However, review pictures and whatnot made the pack seem much smaller to me. I bought this to keep in my fanny pack while hunting. It is much too big for this if those are your plans. It would probably be fine in a backpack though. There are a few straps on the inside but only on one side. Other than that, it looks like you just shove everything in it the best you can. No organization to it at all which could prove very important and possibly dangerous in immediately necessary situations where first aid is vital because it could be hard to find what you need. I was really hoping it had pockets to keep it organized. Other than that, seems like it will be nice to keep in the truck. Great quality and good amount of materials for the price, mostly because it was bigger than I thought. Will attach pics later.

Very disappointing, even thought the description specifically states medical supplies included, it was not included.
