Fun Through the Generations!
Who knew one could have so much fun with a string? I ordered this because I remembered having one when I was a kid, and it just so happened that they still make it! My daughter really loves learning different string tricks, but more importantly, it’s something we can do that is special for just the two of us, and she enjoys that. I really like that this doesn’t require anything except our hands and a piece of string. No mess, no muss, no fuss, just fun. And if you look on YouTube, you can find videos with explanations for other tricks as well. The book provided does a good job of explaining basic configurations, but I don’t think the colors on the string match the colors in the book. It didn’t seem to make much difference, though. Super fun and worth the money for an old-fashioned activity! 🙂

I bought this as a gift for an 11 year old and she has had hours of amusement from it. The diagrams are really clear and colourful. I especially liked the fact that the book is spiral bound, so you can open to a page and it will stay there without closing again. This useful when your hands are occupied with the string! The included string is good quality and still going strong after many months – no fraying at all. I would definitely recommend this book; it’s a good, old fashioned pastime.
