Solid Charging Ability with a Few Drawbacks
I ordered the FAATAA AC charger for a Lenovo laptop and found that it performed well for everyday use. The charger powered my laptop reliably, and although it became warm to the touch after running overnight, it never felt hot or unsafe. It operated quietly, and I never heard any buzzing from the charger. The color was a standard black and the cord measured about six feet, which offered practical reach for desk or bedside use. However, the overall design presented a few issues. The wall plug was built directly into the power brick and was very large. When I inserted it into a wall outlet it completely covered the second outlet, which was inconvenient since many of my home outlets were switched and controlled by a light switch. When I used a power strip, the plug often blocked one or even two additional outlets. The power brick also stuck out about four inches from the wall, which caused trouble if an outlet sat in a tight space such as behind furniture. In those cases I had to move the furniture, which was quite inconvenient. Better chargers used a short power cord between the outlet and the power brick, which avoided these fit problems entirely.Another annoyance was the complete lack of any labeling such as AC or DC information, power values, electrical input or output, wattage, brand, or part number. This causes no trouble if the power brick was one of only a few, but it became inconvenient when managing many power bricks and needing to identify them quickly.Overall, the charger delivered reliable performance, but the bulky design and the missing labeling kept it from being ideal.
