    This was a pleasant, easy-to-read CBT principles. The writing style was conversational, the concepts relatable and the format reinforces the text. I now have a better understanding (in general) of what CBT is and some techniques I can apply in everyday situations. Rating: 3.5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️

    Easy to use guidelines to apply CBT in your daily life
    “How to fall out of love” was my first contact with CBT, and it was very helpful to let go a romantic relationship that turned south and very sour. Since then I was looking for a broader use of CBT for other areas of my life in need of change. The author provides with simple, easy and yet extremely powerful tools and techniques to overcome many mental issues like procrastination, addiction and others.

    CBT explained and presented in an easy to digest and actionable format!
    I heard about CBT for years and chalked it up to having to find a specific therapist with outworldly years of experience for it to really have an impact on me. I bought this book during a time period where I took off work specifically to re-center myself and prioritize my mental health and I can honestly say it was life changing. I for one, am not someone to sit myself down and read but after the first chapter I looked forward to reading every day and doing the exercises throughout the book. Words without actions are just those, words, this book is designed so that you actually put into practice the things, thoughts and processes that will lead to experiencing life differently. Highly recommend this book.

    Unnatural narration made the audio book challenging to listen to
    The content of this book offered the basic principles of CBT. However it was challenging to listen to the audio book because the narrator used unusual vocal intonations and emphasized words in an unnatural manner. I don’t think he registered the meaning of what he was reading.

    This book challenged me in unexpected ways, and it’s so refreshing
    Reading this book felt like a close friend calling me out on my BS. Although the writing style doesn’t have a tone similar to that, the book did call me out and expose me to my own brain’s faulty thinking. The book required work. I did the exercises, I did invest the time to stop, think, reflect and look for examples from my own behavior or thinking patterns related to the topics in this book. It helped me tremendously to uncover some “truths”. Now with this awareness, I’ll have to get down and do the work to create new thinking patterns. This book caught me by surprise. I recommend.

    This is an excellent book. It is easy to follow, with real-life examples and techniques. This self-help book will explain CBT techniques and how they can be used to combat mental health problems like anxiety, depression and more. As it says in the book, if you are on medication, always check with a doctor before making any changes to medication.This technique, explanation, and exercises in this book will give you a starting point and are 20% of the work. The other 80% has to come from you, and changes will not happen as soon as you read this book. This is just the first step in a new direction and new way of thinking.Even if you do not suffer for any mental illnesses, (or like me don’t think you do), you just would like to be change your way of thinking or reacting to situations this is a great book yo read, learn from and put into practice.

    The book is a fraud. I bought it to learn about CBT therapy as the title indicates and it turns out it’s a bartender book that talk literally only about drinks!!!!!This is not acceptable!
