    Unconventional installation still worked!
I bought a pair of these to try to convert my Merach under desk bicycle into something that would play nice with tracking reasonable data for indoor bike activity via my Garmin ForeRunner 965.Both of the Cyclus sensors connected without issue to the watch via ANT, with a pedal icon for the cadence setting, and a speedometer icon for speed setting.Accessing the battery compartment is a bit strange, as instead of twisting the back panel in a full circle, you just set the dial to directly between the two possible settings, then gently pull it open. These ship with a plastic sheet between the battery and the connectors, which needs to be removed before they’ll boot up.These were a tight fit on the cranks, and I could just barely slide them into place on the inner side, as long as I didn’t add either of the rubber pads. They stay in place just fine without them, however. As my picture shows, the fit was tight enough that I got some white circles on the inner plastic cover while using them from some light friction. Unfortunately, in this position, I can’t see the light indicators for their remaining battery life, but I’m glad there was a way to make them attach!Perhaps unsurprisingly, installing only the cadence to the crank had no impact on the watch’s speed or distance calculations during a test cycle session. Lacking access to any wheel hub, I wondered if it would be possible to get acceptable readings by getting creative with the calibration and attaching the speedometer to the other crank, similar to how it installs for cadence. And as it turns out…yes!Repeatedly manually adjusting the “wheel size” calibration for the speed via my watch, I kept doing brief test runs and comparing the speeds to the built in LCD panel on my bicycle and my watch readings to calibrate and dial things in. With a manually set wheel size of 43 43 mm, it was pretty consistently within a 0.1 to 0.3 mph margin of error during glance comparisons at the speed gauges when pedaling with a consistent speed in my usual pedaling speed ranges, which is anywhere from 9mph to 16mph.After making sure to clear data stored on the bicycle so both were starting at a distance of 0, after a longer cycling session of about 1 hour and 30 minutes, the built in panel on my bicycle read a distance of 15.6 miles, and the final distance report from the Cyclus sensors to my watch was 15.3 miles. So extremely close! When initially writing my review, I thought the final distance gap was larger after another extended ride, but that was user error in setting up my comparisons, so I re-did my test to get a more accurate comparison. So, I feel pretty confident in the manual calibration of 43 43 mm as a starting point to calibrate the accelerometer, if installing both the cadence and speed to an under-desk bicycle via the cranks, even though that isn’t the recommended install method. The tension control on my bicycle was set to the highest setting (8), if that matters at all in any of these calculations. While I am using them in a somewhat unconventional manner, these Cyclus sensors were still a nice upgrade to the functionality of my Merach bicycle, and I’m quite happy with them!

Easy to set up, works well, excellent customer service
I have purchased 9 of these sensors and used them for over a year and a half. They are easy to install, connect readily with my Garmin Edge Explore 2 cycling computer, and provide accurate readings. I have not had to change any batteries yet.Great warranty support too! I recently had trouble with a sensor reporting inaccurate cadences. I contacted the company and asked for help. They immediately replied and sent a replacement after I provided proof of purchase and documentation of the faulty output. CycPlus warrants these units for two years. It is important to tape the sensor to your crank to ensure it stays on in rough conditions. The rubber band mounts work well most of the time, but I have lost two units while gravel riding. I recommend using self-fusing silicone tape to ensure that they stay in place.

Works as well as the Wahoo RPM Cadence sensor for less than half the price
I purchased the Wahoo RPM Cadence for a stationary bike, and needed a second cadence sensor. Based on a recommendation from someone else, I tried the CYCPLUS and am very pleased with it’s low-price/good-performance. I only needed it for its candence sensor, and its RPM readings are identical to what comes out of the Wahoo for less than half the price. The CYPLUS is also a speed sensor, but I don’t need one. Definitely recommend!

a replacement of original equipment speed sensor, it worked well with my Wahoo Element Roam
Not hard to pair, but the battery in this device was DOA on arrival. After a fast battery change it paired quickly!

Time to Pass This One By
Purchased this awhile back for use on one of my bikes that is at my in-laws house. Was planning a multi day self supported tour and didn’t have a ANT+ sensor on the bike up there. Instead of removing and bringing my Garmin one, I bought this CYCPLUS one.It didn’t work then. Would be really spotty about pairing with a Garmin Edge 130.Fast forward some time, I brought it home and had it on my shelf. Have another newer Garmin since then and thought I’d try it on my city bike / hybrid bike. Set up ok, but even with new battery it would lose signal from the Garmin. I’d only know this as the Garmin popped up a notification every time it would re-connnect.I’ve had other sensors, both Garmin and also third party. All have been reasonable and easy to use except this one. Not the best in quality and way past time I can send back.Save your money. Time to pass this one by.

    works great.
These work great, the little rubber part on the back falls off very easily and easy to loose, mine is gone….but the product does what its made to do and works well.

Nice that each can be set independently to work as either speed or cadence.

Great product! I have integrated it with many different apps, including mywhoosh. Although I do not have the power measurement, this sensor is enough to enable the mywhoosh app to work.I would recommend checking the available space on your bike and the Cycplus size before buying it.
