Great Deal
Came in excellent condition and performs as specified. Solid machine. Used primarily for web browsing and Office, for which it performs very well. Battery life seems to be 3-5 hours depending on type of usage.

Refurb Dell 5400, 14″, light and runs like a F1
I’m in heaven! Restored Dell laptop with Windows 11 installed. It presents as brand new, zero dings, chips, stuck pixels, etc… it’s a beauty! This machine boots in like 10 seconds, then runs like a rabbit all day! It replaced a Lenovo Thinkpad, circa 2018, tired, long boot, and processing speed diminished over time! This Dell laptop with Windows 11 and Intel chip set core i5 vpro, 8th gen, is wickedly fast for my need anyway! I’m not a gamer so I can’t speak to that but if your needs are relatively simple, this machine is all you need!Luv it!

Great laptop – but my model was defective
The item arrived quickly and in great condition – however, the Bluetooth on the device did not work. I tried downloading the drivers from Dell directly, as well as running their tech support program. I called amazon and was able to initiate a refund and return. I will be purchasing the same condition laptop from the seller and will update my review when it arrives.

Crappy seller and crappy refurb job
I ordered this refurbished PC about 5 month ago and it worked great until last week, when I began having a critical error message pop up during boot and intermittently during use. The message: Dell SupportAssist has detected a failing component on your system that requires immediate attention. Service tag 6T00N33, Error code 2000-0511, Validation code 79809. Fan – The (Processor Fan) fan failed to respond correctly. Following the QR code, it tells me that the device is outside of warranty and/or no longer supported by the manufacturer. I’ve only lightly used this product for less than 5 months, so for it to be failing critically at this point is completely unacceptable. Contacted seller for resolution, as it’s outside of Amazon’s refund or return policy.The most labor intensive software I use on it is Studio One for recording music. No gaming, no hard use, nothing that would defect the hardware in such a short period of time. Save yourself the money and frustration and look elsewhere.Update – seller replied with a boilerplate “sorry you didn’t buy a protection plan or extended warranty” message. Avoid them; this is not a reasonable malfunction to occur after 5 months of owning a refurbished item and they hide behind the (for some reason now socially acceptable) policy of “buy reassurance that what you buy will actually work” instead of just selling a product worth buying.

Works, arrived on time and in great condition
The laptop was exactly as described. There were no significant scratchs or blemishes. The usb ports all appear to work. I haven’t tried the sd or internet port yet. If they don’t work i will update the review. Windows installed and activated properly. During the activation and cleanup when the drive was working hard the fan came on and while I could hear it, it wasn’t as loud as some reviews talked about. The only thing that doesn’t work is the power/dianostic led. I didn’t take off a star for this. Weight is fine. Boot time is good. The battery life appears to be about 4-5 hours. I’m very satisfied with the unit especially for the price and freedom from AI which is why I chose an older laptop.

Don’t let the word “refurbished” deter you if there is a warranty offered!
I forgot about my son needing his own laptop upon entering middle school and classes were starting in 1 week so I needed something fast. My brother, who is a computer geek, sent me this laptop from another website and I 100% trust his computer judgment. I mean, he builds his own comouters and has been doing so since he was a kid! So I was pleasantly surprised to see that Amazon had the exact same laptop with a much longer warrant AND a touchscreen option, which the other site didn’t offer. The word “refurbished” made me hesitant but the 4 year warranty eased my mind.I took a leap of faith because the price tag was great for all that I was getting! It thankfully arrived sooner than even Amazon thought it would, yay! Setup was easy, my 6th grader was able to handle it himself, and it took about 20-30 minutes or so. Jackpot!My son has been using it in school and home daily and he absolutely loves it! It does everything it is supposed to do for school and he even added his own personal programs/apps/games and it hasn’t slowed it down at all. He even was able to access the wifi with full bars in a space where some of his classmates weren’t getting any wifi or just a few bars. Also, the battery lasts throughout the school day, though he is also able to charge as needed so we never actually have to run it all the way down. There was no physical or cosmetic damage anywhere; it arrived looking pristine and I wouldn’t even know it was refurbished! It is a smaller laptop, which is perfect to fit in a backpack and be carried around all day. So far, he hasn’t complained about it being too heavy and even carries books in his bag with it in there.So, as of now, I am overall pleased with this purchase and recommend this laptop, at least for a 6th grader to use for school. I will update if there are any issues. But honestly, for the price I paid (around $400 including warranty), I would be grateful if this only lasts through middle school because that would be more than I hoped for!
