Great Value
I have stream direct tv. I was using Rocku but I decided to try this remote instead. This came brand new and its functionality is great. Makes it easier to navigate. It’s expensive but it would have been more if I rent it from direct tv.

DIRECTV Gemini
Using it only briefly I like the functionality and the ease of set up. The Gemini replaces the Roku I have been using. The only problem I have had so far is the unit power cycling a few times without input of the remote. Hopefully it’s an isolated experience.

Great Streaming Device!
I love this streaming device! It is so easy to setup and use. The remote is great, has numbers which are lacking in most others! It’s pricey but you get what you pay for, and this one is worth it!

Had to do a factory reset
I’m giving the Gemini Air 5-stars for functionality and ease of use even though it took me over 3 hours to get it working. I have a 6.5 year old Samsung 49″ QLED TV, Model QN49Q65FNF. Once I went through the set up process, everything on the Gemini remote worked except the Mute, Volume and Voice Assist buttons. I tried rebooting both the dongle and the TV several times with no luck. I did an internet search and found that there were reports of Samsung TVs having similar issues. I decided to do a Factory Reset on the dongle, and although I had to go through the complete setup again (including router and DirecTV logins), the remote was then completely functional. I would suggest doing an internet search before purchasing if you have a Samsung or other older model of TV to see if they’re compatible. With the YouTube TV-Disney dispute, I switched from YTTV to DirecTV Stream 2 weeks ago and found that I like DirecTV’s interface and guide much better than YTTV, and won’t be going back to YTTV even if the dispute is resolved. The Gemini Air remote is so much easier to use and I love being able to input a Channel number rather than having to go back to the channel guide every time.

The best streaming device you will ever use
This is the best streaming device I have ever used. You need Direct TV Atream to use it and it makes streaming amazingly easy and streamlined. You add apps to it like Paramount+, Peacock, HBO, Apple TV, Prime Video, Hulu, Netflix etc. so when you search for a program it will search across all of your apps for the show/movie name and show it on your TV. No more getting out of one app (you stay in the Direct TV app) and into another app to find the program. If a show is found in more than one streaming service it will give you the choice of selecting one of them. This unit also gives you a satellite/cable interface on steroids. It has an easy to use cloud dvr, search menu, program guide and is lighting fast. Did I mention the search feature also searches for shows on direct tv and ones you have recorded. This streaming device changes the way we access steaming apps and services. I am now going to sell my Apple TVs.

BEST STREAMING OPTION!
The DirectTV Gemini Air is the way to go for folks wanting a cable TV replacement, regardless of the higher (than Roku) price. A few things to note – DirectTV includes channel numbers – so you can enter the channel number directly and go to a channel (big deal for cable replacement) AND it pulls together all the shows from other services on the main screen so you can get back to them (Example: Disney+ “Would you like to continue watching….”).Yes, it’s way more expensive than (say) Roku, but it does way more as well. You can also lease directly from DirectTV ($10/month) but Amazon ships quickly (don’t have wait) and after a couple of years you’ve recoupled the cost.
