Where was this fantastic kit when I was a boy scout!
This is very nice emergency bite/sting kit that should be part of any backpacking, hiking, over-landing or boy-scout equipment list.I opened up the kit and examined the contents and read the excellent instructions. Wow, there is an extensive set of included items in this kit and for that reason alone, I suggest a complete review of the kit and instructions so you are prepared when a situation arises where you need to use this kit in the field.Excellent venom remover which counter intuitive, you have to put the tip on, then pull it OUT (yep) … then cover the sting/bite area … and then push IN for the suction to begin.The other thing that I read elsewhere is that these kits might be effective for bot fly removal, potentially saving you hundreds at a professional.I like how the case is red and has a carabiner to attach to your gear so it is both easy to identify and find when you need it most.I got this as qe are moving to the desert where the chances of an encounter are higher and emergency responders are not always close by.Where was this kit when I was in boy-scouts and the knot tying relay penalty rock had a rattle snake behind it!

Compact, Well-Stocked, and Perfect for Outdoor or Work Truck Emergencies
This emergency kit honestly surprised me with how much it includes while still staying small enough to fit in a glove box, backpack, lunchbox, or even a fanny pack if you’re determined—but definitely not a back pocket. The red zippered case is sturdy and well organized, and it somehow manages to hold all the essentials without feeling bulky. It comes with a venom extractor pump, alcohol wipes, sting-relief items for bees and flying insects, a whistle, a miniature permanent marker, tweezers, a rubber-band style tourniquet, and more small but important tools that can buy you valuable time if something serious happens. I didn’t want to unpack every last item because nothing ever folds back the way it came, but everything I inspected was well made and thoughtfully chosen. We decided this one is staying in my husband’s work truck since he’s outdoors in undeveloped areas running gas lines, and having a compact kit like this close by just makes sense. For the price, it’s absolutely worth it for the peace of mind and the potential to help in a real emergency, ESPECIALLY if you live in Texas like we do, where Mother Nature runs amuck!!

The Snakes are Real out Here Good Kit to have on Hand
This is one kit I did not have on hand living here in the middle and happy to have it tucked away with all my other first aid necessities. You get a lot in a little but visible, red well marked, durable case. Hope I never have to use it! We have a lot of copperheads and rattle snakes in this holler. My husband was dry bit by a copperhead this summer thank goodness no real complications it met its demise. Nice assortment of a lot of sting relief, antiseptic wipes, band aids, a whistle to call for help, marker to locate the spot, plunger with multiple size attachments, instruction sheet and more. Very light weight to carry with you, zips up good the carabiner could have been better quality but easy to replace if needed. Nice for the price. Great gift for any outdoor enthusiast hiking, fishing, hunting, camping, homestead, pack in the car, truck, camper anywhere you need essential supplies.

Good to have around, though I hope I never need it!
This kit is packed full with various essentials for treating stings and snake bites. It is so packed full, in fact, that I wasn’t able to get everything back into the bag after taking it out to inspect it. While I wouldn’t trust the tools in here by themselves to cure a poisonous snake bite (I would still want medical attention), it could hopefully help in delaying the effects long enough to get help. We have copperheads in our backyard, and even though we take every precaution, you just never know what will happen, so it’s good to have something like this kit around. It’s a small enough bag that you can stick it in a cargo pants pocket while you’re out in the yard. The kit comes with detailed instructions on how to use the pump.

This is a pretty cool kit in case you have an emergency snake bite or need to treat a small wound. The kit seems pretty complete, but I’m no doctor. The whole lot is put together well. The case seems like good quality and I don’t see any issues with the components inside. They seem like good quality as well.Currently listed at $21, I feel like it’s a little expensive, but the quality is good as well as the peace of mind.
